Sundermeier
Park is clean and has concrete slabs. Very nice walking/biking trail behind It along Missouri River. Park itself is nothing special. No trees and just flat sites.
Very welcoming
The park and the town of St Charles made for an excellent stop. Our rig is 40? long and we had our dog with us. We were treated first class at a first class park.
Wonderful...best park ever!
We stayed a few days Sundermeier RV Park, it is located in Historic St. Charles and it is convenient to St. Louis and St. Peters! The park has the best Wifi I have ever encountered and it is clean, well maintained, everyone is wonderful, from the park you can bike or walk to downtown St Charles via the Katy Trail State Park, which runs along the banks of the Missouri River.
Very sneaky...
I called last week to reserve a rv spot as I would be working on the area .. 4 days later I called to cancel as my plans had changed. Carolyn said I would be charged $10 for canceling (3 weeks early) she was very rude when I informed her that when I spoke to her and asked about charges she assured me they would not charge me and that she didn't inform me of this.. Her reply was "well it's online" she was very rude and hung up on me . Lesson learned.
PS it's not the $10, it's the principle.
Historical Charm
We loved this area! The campground was basically a huge RV parking lot, but it had lots of space and the concrete pads were very accommodating. We loved the Katy Trail and had we been staying longer than overnight, we would have enjoyed some long bike rides on it. We did walk the trail down to St. Charles (about 2 miles/4 round trip) and explored the charm of this historical town. We felt like we had stepped back in time with the brick road and architectural influences. We wish we had time to check out the Lewis and Clark Trail nearby. The people were very friendly, as well. The only drawback was that it was pricey. We paid $52 for the night. However, this little overnight stop on our journey was one of the most memorable overnighters that we've experienced while in route to a destination.
Visit regularly
Great place to kick off a ride on the KATY Trail or enjoy St Charles events. Always clean, but lacking in landscaping. Love the cement pads. Staff friendly and accommodating.
Nice park
Park is clean, fenced, good restaurant, close to downtown St. Charles. A little pricey. Only decent park in the area.
Great facilities, easy pull-through's, very clean showers, etc.
just don't stay on 4th of July, as the surrounding neighborhood must have bought $1million worth of fireworks and were setting them off all night and into the am!
