Excellent location
Adjacent to the Space and Rocket Center and easily accessible off the main highway but without most of the highway noise. This is a small family-owned and operated campground that could use some updating but still very affordable and in a great location. The sites are gravel pads that will require leveling for most. All sites are full-hookup, shade is available for many. Pull-thru and back-in sites are available.
There is no wifi here. All major network channels are available using the rooftop antenna, and many locations will have a clear sky for using a satellite antenna.
We stayed here 2 nights while visiting Huntsville and the Space Center, we would return and visit again. The rate is very affordable and you can't beat the location.
Needs some updates
We have been coming here for years. Love the park and the location. However there have been no capital improvements to the park in years. Roads full of potholes, many sites uneven and rutted. While we were here they also disconnected the WIFI. It is sad to see this little gem going down hill.
Great location adjacent to Space Museum
This is a well kept, small CG. Most sites are shaded. We enjoyed walking the path over to the museum. The manager was very nice and allowed us to stay plugged in until we got back from museum. We had our dog in RV and temperatures were around 100 degrees. The price was also very reasonable. We also enjoyed watching the space campers launch their rockets in the open field next to CG. We'd certainly stay here again if ever in the area.
