Great Park!
Big surprise! Sort of anxious after I made reservations & was told that they had been flooded from the storms & closed for a few months. They are just reopening - not to worry- sites are clean, but still lots of water!
She told the truth. This park dits right on the Mississippi ! We pulled in & the electrician was still wiring our pile!! Didn?t take him long & we were set! Within an hour this park was almost full. The men were working like crazy to get people parked, elec hooked up & still grading the spots to make them level from the mud, etc. it is definitely not your standard park. Everyone we met was friendly & helpful. Hardworking group of people! We would recommend & come back. Would love to see it dried out & normal! NOTE: Google gives 3 ways to get here. Take the South Loop Road. We didn?t & the local streets are very narrow & bumpy & difficult to navigate.
Tom Sawyer RV Park
This was suppose to be 2 days, but the park is so nice, clean, friendly and cheap. $30 a night. Free washers and dryers only 15 minutes outside Memphis, on the Arkansas side of Mississippi River. Watch tugs boats go by. REALLY REALLY enjoyed our stay of 4 days.
Nice place
Met our needs, just stayed for one night. Arrived late and was able to get a site. Right on the Mississippi.
Scenic and Relaxing
Very close to all that Memphis offers yet little of the annoyances and noise. Conveniently located about 2 miles off the interstate and there is no highway noise. Interesting watching the river traffic moving along the nearby Mississippi River, and some sites are so close to the river bank the barges are easily in view.
The park offers sites that are in a wooded area or an open area near the river bank, also gravel or paved sites. Space between sites is about normal, not too close but not wide apart either. It's a very level park and probably no side-to-side leveling will be needed for your RV. Full hookup sites are everywhere.
There is no cable television here but we picked up about 35 local channels by roof-top antenna including all of the major networks. Satellite reception will be excellent at most river-front sites, but suggest making that request when placing your advanced reservation. There is complementary wifi and it worked well most times; like other parks it is stressed by the large number of devices that are connected.
This RV park is very peaceful and relaxing, with a scenic direct view of the river. Our site was paved and directly adjacent to the river; however during the summer months it could be very hot because there is no shade there. We stayed here in a travel trailer and would visit again.

Who'd known that this awesome RV park was back here by the Mighty Mississippi. Stay here!!!!
Beautiful and peaceful
We stayed here three nights due to needing some welding work on our trailer. We arrived late and easily found a spot due to maps and available spots on the office porch. Wi-Fi is good during the day and late at night when not many people are using it. There are clean bath houses(limited hot water!) and free laundry! We paid $32 a night with good Sam.
Ah the View
Very nice park and what a view of the Mississippi. So nice to watch the barges on the river. Very relaxing, friendly people, sites are very long and wide for big rvs, and free WIFI. Plus, get this, free laundry. Never ran across this before, how refreshing. Although there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers, it was nice and clean and I had no problem getting in to do my clothes. Stayed here in a 39 ft motorhome and tow car.
