Very nice. Quiet. Pet- and People-friendly.

We stayed at the High Chaparral RV Park for a week 2/28-3/7 2015. It is a gravel, level lot, with 170 full hook ups, and can accommodate all sizes of rigs. Each space has a concrete slab. The manager was very nice. I secured our reservation with a phone call and cc.

High Chaparral RV Park is located about three miles off I-10 at the Sunland Gin exit. Technically, it’s in Eloy, Arizona, and just south of the I-8/I-10 intersection. Grocery shopping (Walmart, Frye’s), restaurants and other services are found at I-10 at Florence Blvd exit.

You pass an Ace Hardware and Dollar General before arriving High Chaparral. There’s also a post office on Battaglia across Sunland Gin the other direction, in the little town of Eloy, but it only takes cash. There's a tiny IGA grocer too, but only if you need something standard like ketchup or mayo. Otherwise, bite the bullet and run the 10 freeway miles to Florence Blvd exit.

The RV park was nice, nothing fancy, but clean and with friendly, helpful folk. The birds sing happily too. It is dog friendly and has an off-leash area out back accessed through a chained link gate. The views of mountains in the area are nice, and there are acres of green grass across the street from the entrance. It’s some type of crop – possibly hay – and we watched a bright yellow crop duster flying back and forth over the fields for about 30 minutes one afternoon.

The pool is heated and nice. The laundry has a good number of washers and dryers, plus you can choose to put the Arizona sun to work drying your clothes using the clotheslines outback. The showers were nice and very clean. Two showers in men’s and women’s; both accessed by code.

We hired David’s RV Wash, suggested by management, and he was pleasant, arrived on time, and did a good job.

We also went to the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. It was very interesting, and was also dog friendly.
We would absolutely go back to this RV park.
