Rescheduling issue
We made a reservation in October, 2017 for the months of January, February and March, 2018. We put down $100 nonrefundable deposit to be credited to the last month electric bill at that time.
Sometime in late December an illness prevented us from arriving on the 1st of January, and we called and rescheduled to the 1st of February without any issue.
In late January the continuing illness caused another attempted reschedule and at that time the park was advised, to be safe, we wanted to reschedule to November 1st but March 1st was OK as long as we could call and reschedule it back to November which they agreed to at that time. At no time did they inform us that their policy was only one rescheduling.
As this continued illness prevented us from arriving on March 1st, we contacted the park and they reneged on this agreement citing a 90 day refund policy and said they only reschedule one time which we were never advised of.
I reread confirmation email and it does in fact say for a refund they need 90 days notice but we were not asking for a refund; we were simply asking for a reschedule and they not so politely declined to do that and refused to either reschedule or refund our money.
At the conclusion of our call my intention was to contest this charge with my credit card company based on the technicality of a refund versus a reschedule but the bank account is no longer open so I guess they got us.
