Over Looked
This is a small Arizona State Park that is sort of “under the radar” and overlooked, maybe in part because there is no sign at the entrance! It is immaculately kept, with paved level sites, river access and a hiking trail. Very close to a convenience store for extra provisions.
A really nice park
With over 30 sites, most have water and electric with a free dump station on your way out of the park.
Restrooms and showers were clean. It is nestled between the mountains with spectacular views right on the Colorado River and has a very sereneness about it.
We could not find a satellite signal and no cell phone service was available but there was a pay phone outside the Ranger Station.
Amenities would not be the reason for camping here, instead the beauty of it all would be a great reason to give this park at least an overnight visit.
We used a State Park Pass and paid $23 for water and electric and if we are ever in the area again, we would absolutely stay here again.
This state park is associated with Buckskin Mountain State Park but is a unit by itself and is located a few miles away.
