False Advertising!!

Terrible experience!

I booked their "small cabin" two weeks ago through a series of phone calls and emails. It was very easy booking with them, and their policy to cancel is 7 days in advance, which is fine. I asked, over the phone, for an email confirmation, and the Female owner told me that, "We are a small facility, and we don't do that". Really? Even when I specifically ASK for some sort of proof that I'm paying money to you to rent one of your cabins?
Now, my husband and I have a two year old, and live three hours away. We were traveling to Murphy's to attend our close friend's wedding, and we thought a cabin would be a nice, romantic, weekend getaway. Especially since we are never without our toddler, and we didn't take a Honeymoon after getting married. Also keep in mind that Jeff Foxworthy is in town, so rooms within 50 miles are booked solid by now, so we couldn't stay anywhere else, even if we needed to.
SO, after dropping our son with his grandparents for the weekend, packing the car with firewood and necessities, driving three and a half hours to get there, we check in with a gentleman on a golf cart. He informs us that our "cabin" that we rented, is actually "a GARDEN SHED from Lowe's", and then he LAUGHS. He Laughs! Are you kidding me?!?!? Every photo on their website shows cabin buildings.
We get to our "cabin" GARDEN SHED, and it has no windows, a bed and a toilet (no bathroom door), and it's tiny, and all METAL. (easily 100 degrees inside) OH, and no toilet paper. If Yelp would let me add photos, I would... I took them as proof for the BBB.
At this point, I'm LIVID. We are two hours away from having to attend our friend's wedding, and we find out we have to stay in a GARDEN SHED. We could not get another room... (the only one we could find was a SMOKING ROOM in JACKSON... Approximately 40 miles away). My Husband and I immediately returned the keys and informed the gentleman on the golf cart that we would not be staying there, and we requested our credit card, (which they asked for over the phone), not be charged. He then told us that he usually tells people it's a garden shed over the phone, (I never spoke with a man when I was booking), and they " had just taken over the place ". I let him know that I booked two weeks before, and he just shrugged, and asked if we'd "stay there for less money?" I couldn't believe it!!! This guy was still trying to sell me!!
SO, we ended up having to completely get ready in our car, leave our friend's wedding a few hours in, and drive home that same night!!! Two hours at a wedding, SEVEN HOURS OF DRIVING!! The only upside was that we hadn't brought our son with us. I couldn't imagine what we would have done with a two year old with us.

Not only is this unsafe, I'm fairly sure that renting someone a garden shed as a cabin is illegal. This is very bad business, and a huge case of FALSE ADVERTISING.

I am the new owner of the Campground, and am very sad you had such a bad time. I sounds like you reserved the small cabin. It has a full size bed, tile floor, the walls are finished and painted, the roof is metal and the rest is wood with insulated walls, there is a partition wall with a toilet and sink. Out front there is a porch deck with a bistro table and an umbrella, a fire pit and a BBQ. There is a picture of both cabins on our website. Our cabins rent from $55 to $70. Most hotel rooms in the area go for $100+ a night. So these are a great value. We are a campground after all.
