Visiting

We stayed here while attending a wedding. Even though we reserved 3 months in advance we did not get full hookups. Nice park with great hiking trails. Wilderness feel in the city. We stayed 5 nights.

skyline wilderness park

Wonderful place, surrounded by beautiful California hills. Of all the wine valley towns, Napa's probably not the most charming, but this campground is convenient to everywhere and is tucked away so it has a sense of peace and quiet and nature. Couldn't take Riley on the trails. USB modem worked wonderfully. There is Wifi in the park, for a fee. First come first serve. There are a few full-hookup sites, but I think they are a bit crowded. Archery, horseback riding, hiking/biking trails.

Not a Rustic Campground but Good RVr's Spot

Gravel and dirt interior roads 35 - 38' rig would be about the limit for the site length. This was a decent place to stay in an RV, but not a campground feel if that is what you're looking for. Mostly a big gravel parking lot with hookups. Stay away from the full hookups unless you do not mind having very close neighbors. The water and electric sites are decent size. Close enough to downtown Napa for easy driving access and quiet at night. Has nice gardens and some nice walking hiking, popular for mountain biking. No fees for reservations, just call and tell them your coming, that is all they need to know.
