Quiet, well maintained and fair price.
Excellent small park that's quiet with pull through spaces, although we didn't need it for our class B Sprinter. Friendly and helpful staff. Water and electricity, with an extra $10 charge from an independent wi-if provider if you want it. Convenient pump out at no charge for guests. We didn't need the wi-fi and our cellphone coverage was fine. Bathrooms and showers well maintained. Breakfast at the gilder field is a throwback to earlier days. In town the Red House Barbecue is as good as it gets anywhere. Try the brisket! We will stay here when we visit Bear Valley Springs.
Out of the way find
Stayed Mountain Valley RV park two nights ago. It's out of town. Quiet. Trees. Peaceful. Sounds of distant trains at night. Prairie dogs in open field adjacent. Nice staff. Great showers. Laundry available although We didn't use it as only there one evening. No wifi but if it means keeping modern RV concrete and congestion away from this "rural" RV park then that's great.
Great park for one night or more!
We stayed an extra day the first time we came though. Nice staff, clean bathroom and showers. Easy to find and easy in and out. No cable or wi-fi. Who needs it! We can live without it for a couple of days. If you can't live without it you can purchase separately.
We used this RV Park when came back though. Used the laundry facilities, great deal. Will come back. $27.00 a night.
We also found a couple of good places to eat. Village grill for breakfast. We will try the Red Barn, house BBQ next time. We hear that it is also excellent.
Much overlooked rv park
Stayed here in oktober and were pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff ,the park is well kept and the restrooms neat and clean. Camped on the outside of the park in a 26 ft camper during the weekend and had an excellent view of the gliders going up and coming in. The town of Telechapi by the way is well worth visiting.
Over night stay
Very quiet and clean. No highway noise.
We're back for second time, and will return again
This is a perfect layover for those of us who are on our way to some place else. We first stopped here in 10/12 ... it was bitter cold weather and the wind was howling. We wanted electricity for our space heater and a safe place to hunker down. Close behind that was a hot shower. We scored big on all three. This trip we are headed back to the desert and wanted a familiar, clean, quiet spot to bed down.
Staff is great, friendly. Showers are hot, hot, hot. Restrooms clean. Laundry available. Nothing fancy. Not a resort. Just a good, safe stopover on a longer journey.
Great surprise quiet clean and fairly priced
Really nice quiet out of the way but convenient. Enjoyed our stay.
Mountain Valley Airport RV Park
This place was a nice little surprise, after driving west through the desolate Mojave Desert. Good place to stop. Tucked away and quiet, but conveniently located. I pulled in at dusk and left early morning.
*Park located next to runway where glider planes land. Discount to guests on glider rides.
