A pass-through location
I'm giving this place two stars because staff is friendly and you can walk to restaurants. However, during the slow season (before May 1) they rent to full time residents who are "getting back on their feet", and the smell of cigarette smoke is what greeted us. Staff did offer to let us move and opened a spot closer to the office away from the other folks but we were all set up by that time. The location of the park is about a half hour to The Black Canyon of the Gunnison, and an hour from Telluride so not much to do here, other than go see other towns. We came at the beginning of April and the trees and flowers have not bloomed yet, so pretty gray. The mini golf did seem to be open, but we do not have kids with us.
Not big rig friendly
Had reservations with a 44 ft motorhome and trying to get to spot scratched up my rig on hanging branches. Plus very hard to get to spot. When I did could not get in to spot due to hanging branches. Further lanes so narrow had to move some rock so as not to damage tires. We left asap.
Great sites with shade, close steakhouse and bowling, free minigolf
Came here on a whim with my family of 4. Had a blast. Clean bathrooms, decent laundry, friendly hosts. The mini golf is great fun, ( and free). Wifi is spotty, especialy on sites far from office. Nice big pet area, check out the nearby steakhouse, it's awsome.
Absolutely the best!!
After traveling over 1000 miles...it was so nice to end up at Cedar Creek RV Park in Montrose. So clean, big parking slips, close to town, quiet, very nice owners and the cleanest toilet and shower facilities ever. All this and an 18 hole mini golf. I'll be back for sure.
We have stayed in this park many times and will return again. The facilities are clean and the management friendly. Most sites are shaded.
