A number of people stay here for the purpose of being in the vicinity of Fort DuPont State Park. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Brandywine Creek, and Lums Pond State Park is a delightful location to stretch your legs a bit. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun.
Throughout the summer months highs here at Odessa Campground reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Odessa Campground temperatures dip to the 20's. Camping out really is an entertaining thing to do, and Odessa Campground in Delaware is a splendid spot to go.
