We were in site 16 in the old campground. The sites in this section are for shorter RVs; if you have a big rig, you need to be in the new campground. We like the old cg because the sites are more private and closer to the beach. No road noise at all. Site 16 is right on the lagoon. The bathhouse in the old cg is being torn down and replaced, but when we were there it was closed. There is a bike/walking path that runs right next to Hwy 30A, so it's easy to walk or ride into Grayton Beach. Given my druthers, I would rather stay at Henderson Beach, 20 miles to the east.

We have not actually stayed at this park but I did a survey while staying near by. This is a small park and you can walk to the Red Bar at Grayton beach from here. The new loop is full hook up, gravel sites. They did a nice job. The older CG is tight and not all sites would be suitable for big rigs or long TT's. Some of the sites in the old section back to the dune lake, very pastoral! The new section is open without a lot of trees. Some of the sites in the new section; 39 thru 48 have a clear view of HWY 30A and I imagine the road noise would detract from the otherwise nice ambiance of the park. This is why I give it an average rating. The beach itsself is very nice and just a short drive or bike ride within the park. Its not isolated and I observed quite a bit of day use traffic. Nice park if you want to be close to Grayton Beach and the lovely area but not isolated camping.

We stayed there last Feb. and really enjoyed it. They were adding new sites and rebuilding the park at that time. We will be there again next week and will update at that time.
