Tight sites which is to be expected.
Like most camp grounds people are friendly so it is easy to get over the cramped feeling.
Very close to Key West and the park is very clean and quiet at night. Lots of staff that help get set up in the small spots.
First impression- yuck
When we pulled in I thought OMG what an awful place. The sites are so tight that we dropped in the road and they used a bobcat to put us in. When I say tight it?s tight. With that said - we had a wonderful time. The park has a great location, dog friendly, the staff is wonderful, pool is like bath water, laundromat is immaculate and the place is extremely quiet. My first impression that I wouldn?t like it was quickly changed into I?d like to come back.
Lock up your stuff and plan for earplugs.
Smack in the middle of a neighborhood known for crackheads and crack ho's, this park has nothing special to offer. Security is terrible, we had several things stolen from our site and our children were afraid of the area. It's a large ghetto. There was obvious drug use by the pool and lots of cussing and no one doing anything about it. The pool had too much chlorine and we were all effected physically by it. Our hair got bleached and so did our swim suits. There were spring breakers, or whatever they were, partying everywhere to boot! Worst of all the wild roosters cawed all night under our rv and all around it nonstop. The staff was uninterested in listening to our complaints. Honestly, parking on the street might have even been a better experience! Never again!
Poor
My brother and I each brought an rv to this park. Reservations were wrong. I had to squeeze into a slot where my awning could not be extended or it would have hit my neighbors vehicle. There is no dog park, just gravel where they store marine gear. Internet and tv was down through the evening. If going to key west, try the sugarloaf koa, there's no comparison. Top 100 rv parks, no way that could be.
Big disappointment
Very tight, in my opinion poorly run park. Reservations not correct head to squeeze in the spot not really big enough couldn't even extend my awning.
Just ok
Cannot say i would stay here again. Very expensive for what you get. Tight small campsites with minimal space for anything. If all you want is a place to park so you can go to key west leave the camper home and rent a room. That would be more comfortable than this place an probably cheaper! One car per site. Extra money for more than 2 people. Very poor part of town. Would not recommend walking outside of the campground at night.
Sorry. Didnt really like the place
Very Rude- would not stay again
This is our second year at this park, and we now realize that the rude callousness of the office staff is the norm not the exception. Last year, we stayed 10 days. Our reservation was made 6 months in advance and although we requested water view, we were told lot requests were not taken or honored. A lot would be assigned upon check in.
This year, we reserved in November for a May visit requesting water front. Once again we were told lot specific reservations were not available but we would get limited view. Every question I asked, i.e. What's limited view mean, was returned with a one word curt response. When we arrived, once again short curt remarks. The site assigned was near water but not on the water and our patio faced away from water. Originally we didn't fit due to our slides and when mentioned to the office was told to bad it was the only available site. All of this after reserving over 6 months ago. So...we made it work. Our reservation ended Friday morning and when asked if we could extend by a day we we told our specific site was taken for the 3 day weekend but another was available. THERE IT WAS...the lot specific reservation that no one was allowed to make. The excuse was, well, they had been here before and had requested that specific site. I guess we didn't fall high enough on the food chain. A 42' fifth wheel that paid for 7 days looking for an 8th....almost $900 later, would have to pack up, hook up, and move 3 sites down vs putting a 3 night incoming arrival 3 sites down. All after a repeated " sorry no lot specific reservations aloud".
Sardines
Packed in like sardines. Very hard to get around. Not worth the premium price ($150/day) that we paid. Doesn't seem like they spend much time or money keeping the place clean. Staff was helpful, but still don't like being that close.
Convenient Camping
Close to the Keys but very tight spaces for larger rigs. Our "premium" site was costly and so tight we couldn't open our canopy. There was also an odor due to the water and tidal wash. Great camp store, laundry, and pool. Not the value we expected for the price.
Good time
We stay each year 4 to 6 weeks and have a great time I highly recommend this to anyone.
