Ripoff Artists
I had made a reservation here for two nights. A medical issue came up and it looked like we would have to cancel, or at least postpone our trip. I called to cancel our reservation and was told they have a 14-DAY CANCELLATION POLICY! They refused to listen and kept stating on the phone that it was "policy." They refused to refund my fee.
Then she said I could move the reservation if I wished. Thinking we were only going to have to postpone a few days, I moved it back 5 days. Two days later it became apparent that we were going to have to cancel the trip altogether. Once again I called this place to cancel, and was told I would still have to pay for BOTH NIGHTS on BOTH RESERVATIONS! That, my friends, is the classic ripoff. There is NO business justification for treating customers like that.
From reading reviews of this place elsewhere on the web, the place sounds like a dump. Maybe we're lucky we cancelled. It's a sure thing that we will never stay here!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
The women that run this park are horribly rude, every time I have gone to the office or called on the phone, I have been treated like I am not wanted. They are trying to extort money from us that was not in the agreement to stay at the park. We are being told we have to leave 2 days earlier that what we are paid up till. Now they are telling us we owe them $160 before we can pull out. This also includes a "$50 lot clean up fee" that we have never before heard of. So I have told them they need to produce some kind of a signature page that I signed upon entering this lot that says we owe a clean up fee. We are horrified at the way we have been treated and cannot get out of here fast enough. these women are nothing but a bunch of crooks. The area is run down and overrun with people you don't want to be around. There is nothing but boom box music all night every night from the gas station next door. The pictures they have on their web site ARE NOT what this park looks like. It is run down and very unkept. The woman in the front even told us not to go to the closest laundry facility down the road because it is very dangerous. So, we have to drive up the interstate just to do a load of laundry. You can't get propane here, no bathrooms or showers. The whole place is just a mess. DO NOT STAY HERE! If you do, be prepared for several charges you weren't aware of to be thrown at you when you try to leave. These people are nothing but crooks.
