Off the beaten track but worth the trip

Being away from the interstate makes this place a gem. You need to stumble upon, like we did or know it was here. Sites are flat and in the older section some good shade trees. The Turkey River passes by and you can rent tubes and let the current of the river down stream where you will be picked up. A nice family day can be spent on the river for very little cost ($5 daily rent of tube). The riverfront sites are taken up by seasonals but if you are here mid week most seasonals are not in the park, or at least in early June that is. Has a restaurant but closed on Mondays. Terri the owner lives beside the park and can be reached by phone any time.
