Arlington RV Resort

This park is not a resort as advertised. Also no pull throughs, no wifi and the ground was so rocky(not gravel) it was hard to walk and we couldn't even put our jacks down. The price was outrages for what you received. Will never stay there again. Do not recommend. Not worth one star. Stayed one night 7/28/16 You had to pay by cash or check.

you can live here

I've been here for 2 years working at Fort Polk. Due to new management things got even better. A place for honest working folks. Leave all criminal activity out and enjoy a sound sleep. Real close to work. About 5 minutes to any where on base or to Wal-Mart in Leesville.

Trailer Park not RV Park-bad neighborhood.

It was a nice RV park when we first moved into it in September, 2012 and left February, 2014. Tenents were active or retire military who own their RV that work on nearby Fort Polk. The owner then started to fill the park with FEMA trailers in the Spring/Summer of 2013 and rent them to illegal immigrants and people that committed crimes of burglary, theft from auto, drug trafficking, theft and prostitution. My vehicle was one of several vehicles broken into. The community bath house bathroom is rarely cleaned with black mold on the walls of the showers. On my last day there, one of the tenants was laying on the bathroom floor-passed out from a previous night bonfire in the park and drinking. There is a park manager who says the park has rules, but they are not posted, nor are any rules given to tenants. The place has more FEMA trailers than RVs and should no longer be called an RV park. We finally left because my wife no longer felt safe walking our pups at night.

Not What Advertised

Living in this RV park is not what it's advertised. Wi-Fi is only available if you want to set in the common bath house with your computer or laundry room. The common bath house is constantly filthy and infested with insects of variety. They use it for equipment storage. The owner has FEMA trailers that he leases to people prone to commit crimes. The dumpster is frequently full beyond capacity and goes days before being emptied. The only good feature is the proximity to Fort Polk.

Decent RV Park close to Fort Polk.

Enjoying RV life in this park is easy. Very reasonable monthly rates that include utilities and wifi, however due to the location of the wifi dish, you need to park your camper/rv next to the public bath/laundryroom facility or take your computer to the laundryroom. It's located approximatel 1.5 miles from south entrance of Fort Polk, 8-10 minute drive to your office. Neighbors are either active duty military or military contractors and get along with each other. Routinely peaceful and quiet, no night time parties here. Recommend having a Post Office box for mail because the RV park uses one common mail box for all tenents. The laundryroom and public bathhouse frequently goes three to four days between cleaning.

not so great

This place really shouldn't advertise they have wifi and cable. The cable goes out when the wind blows and then you have to wait days or weeks for the owner to come reset it. The wifi will only work for you if you are sitting in the laundry mat.We have not had any problems other then that. Of course we chose this sight over others in the area based on the fact that they had these 2 things. And the gravel is horrible. It's nice that there are showers on sight.

I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE -50 IF I COULD

I stayed in this rv park for almost 3 months while i was working in the area. The first month or so was good, always paid the lot fee on time. After about 2 months, they blocked me from using the wifi on my desktop, but my laptop could get connected because they did not know i had a laptop.
We were only able to get 4 channels while we stayed there, was always told we needed to buy new cable to hook up from their connection to mine, bought 5 new cables and also tried one they left, could not get anything except the 4 channels.
The 3rd month i was told i owed them almost $1000 because they had no record of me paying the lot fee. They do not give receipts, but they wanted me to show them the receipts for paying the lot fee, told them they did not give receipts so there are no receipts. Then asked them where the envelopes were that showed i paid, i was told they do not keep those because they didn't see a need to keep them.
Also the men's bathroom had not been cleaned in months from the looks of it. It smelled and if 2 people are taking a shower in the building at the same time, the 2nd person will be taking a cold shower. I moved to another local rv park and now instead of nothing but rocks and NO SHADE, i am in a rv park that is quiet and i have a place where we can sit outside and enjoy my off time.

Great Park

Very quiet RV park. We always stay here when in the area. Is is nice to have WIFI, cable and laundry available. We pay the weekly or monthly rate depending on our length of stay. Both are very reasonable. We recommend this park to all.
