Great Place to Relax
This was our first trip to DC and Cherry Hill was no let down. The staff and facility were first class. Super clean showers and bathrooms and 2 great pools and hot tub. The camp store was great as was the cafe. Truly a first class campground. It was also surprisingly quiet all hours of the day and night and there were several large groups camping the week we were there as well. Should we ever return to the area we will certainly stay here again.
Not so much
Poor site maintenance. Nice store and restaurant. Nice pool and welcome center. Rapid transit to DC comes to the park. Some questionable standards regarding RV placement and what qualifies as an RV. No more than three stars.
Great Stay, bit Pricy!
This was a great campground to spend as a toured around DC. It claims to be the closest to Washington DC, but it was still a haul to get into the city. Our space was near the Conference Center.
There is water, electric, and sewer hookup. There is cable TV but the channels are limited. There is WiFi, which worked well.
We stayed here nearly a week and the road noise from the Interstate was annoying, but did not affect our sleep. The spaces are tight, but I do not think many people come to Cherry Hill to enjoy the great outdoors.
One complaint: Nightly price, we paid nearly $57 per night with a discount which is about $10 more than should be charged. Oh well, I guess we did pay it.
Would I recommend this park? Yes. Would we come back? Yes when we come back to visit DC.
Informational: We travel in a 36' Class A RV.
Perfect location
We have stayed at this park almost every year for about 10 years. We have stayed in their rental trailer once as well. This park is near the University of Maryland as well as convienent for travel by bus/metro into DC.
The park is well maintained. Staff is friendly. Store is well supplied. We have never had an issue while staying here. Nothing is walking distance but shopping is a short drive in either direction from the park depending on needs. Wifi has always worked no matter where we've been assigned. Looking forward to our visit this summer!
Great park
Great location. Good amenities. Fun activities for kids. Nice staff
Top Notch Park
This is a second best private RV park we have stayed in in 6 years of RVing. It is huge (over 500 sites), but it doesn't feel crowded. They have spread the sites out over the acreage and you have more site space than most private parks. Our site needed minimal leveling (we are really picky about leveling).
We particularly liked the fact that a bus comes into the park on a very frequent basis to take people to/from the College Park Metro. Good way to get into DC.
The pools were closed for the season, but the sauna and hot tub are enclosed and still functioning. On Wednesday night, they had a dance preceded by a class. Guess they do this every week. When we were there, the dance was the two-step. We aren't much dancers but it was fun.
Lots of do, great location, good value.
Great stay
Well run RV Park. The only problem was the night guard couldn't find our reservation so we weren't given our promised spot but things happen...
Very nice park
Little expensive for RV park, but is very nice, clean, lots of room for large rigs. Great pool, and family place. Good SAMs discounts
Great base for DC touring
This family RV resort has something for everyone. 2 large pools, one for kids. Onsite snack bar with great food, try the homemade crab cake sandwich. Game room, computers, TV room, jucuzzi.
Sites were level and not too crowded. Park personnel were friendly. Nice store. Lots of kids!
Cherry Hill College Park, MD
This is the best park in dc area, they have nice level sites clean rest rooms wifi and two pools ( one heated). They have transportation to the DC metro, and tour buses right on site. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
Closest RV Park to Washington DC.
