Thief

Place is horrible. She will steal your money. Check out the Better Business Bureau link http://www.bbb.org/boston/business-reviews/camps/riverside-campground-in-wells-me-13226/complaints. Pulled into the campground with out a reservation in July. Campground was empty except for a few sites. Campsite was very small asked for anther and that site was just as small. Told the lady we wanted to leave and she said ok and the owner would have to do the refund because she doesn't know how to do them. Owner called me later that night and told me they do not give refunds and keep my money. I knows she needs the money because no one goes there but really to steal like that is unheard off. We were there for maybe 10 minutes. Business like this need to understand they can not do this to people.

Not Much

Sites are very small. Many extended stay sites. Facilities are "basic" and not well maintained. Find another place to stay.

Stay Away

I must say I am incredibly upset with the campground and (most of*) the owners/staff. The bathroom's were disgusting, you could barely fit in the stalls and there was stagnant water in the men's room. The sites were what I expected from an RV park but there was absolutely no shade at my site and the bugs were bad. The real kicker about this campground is the disrespect I was treated with by the owner. We had our firewood stolen and our tent vandalized while we were out and about. At first the staff was very sympathetic and refunded the firewood, but as soon as they realized I wanted my money back for the night they became accusatory. I was told they are not responsible and no refunds are issued. I will never stay here again and I strongly encourage others to steer clear.

P.S. We had to sleep in a hotel due to the vandalizing of our tent. It brought my girlfriend to tears and me to fury, yet no refunds were issued.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

*The lady who checked us in and with whom I chatted with Sunday morning was very nice
