Traveler Tips

The entrance is well marked and looks like you must travel through a parking lot. Plenty of room to navigate, just pull up to the check-in cabin on your right past the parking lot. Restaurants are on your left.

Great spot to camp

This might just be the best spot to,camp in the area. Plenty of trees, hookups, bathroom and showers, etc. Close to restaurants and a cinema. Bike trails. Fire pits, picnic tables and friendly staff. We came through on a Tuesday night , right after the hours of operation, but the park ranger was there and helped us and two others. There were plenty of other campers, but we weren't on top of one another. Our pull- through spot was gravel and relatively level. We were very pleased with this campground. Bring your mosquito spray!

REALLY NICE FOR A STATE PARK

FHU make this park a nice place to stay. There are great walking and bike trails, plus you are within walking distance to downtown Grand Forks, ND. This park is actually in East Grand Forks, MN and is a Minnesota State Park.
The roads are concrete and the sites are gravel, large and fairly level with fire pits and tables. There is lots of grass and mature trees within the park. The showers, one shower house - 8 individual rooms, are separate from the restrooms and are keep very clean. There are two restroom, one at each end of the park, also keep very clean. All are a short walk from any site. There are local restaurants right outside the park entrance as well as a Cabela's.
We stayed two nights in a 32' 5th wheel.
In October there are a number of workampers staying here who are working the sugar beet harvest.
