Campers beware

I made reservations at Willow Creek Campground for two side-by-side pullthroughs for 3 nights. I offered to pay in advance, and was told there was no need--our sites were written down and reserved. When we arrived at 6:00 pm (I had told them we would arrive around that time also) after driving 10 hours from Michigan we were told two different stories as to why they had rented out one of our sites. We had to get online and find another campground in the Rochester area.

This campground has a VERY hard entrance from a busy, multi-lane 55 mph highway. You need to come to a complete stop in traffic and can't see the sign in advance. I am surprised the township even allows that dangerous entrance--someone (if they haven't already) is going to have a serious accident trying to get in there. Also, the cute red bridge you have to drive over looks VERY narrow, and with a big rig they didn't even have their trailers for sale parked out of the way to attempt a straight shot in. Not that we got to see the actual campground anyway...
