A nice place

If you realize that you are urban camping and in the middle of a city then this is a really nice place. Staff was helpful. Full hook ups. Close to down town. No complaints

St. Louis is NOT SAFE FOR RVs

I would not recommend coming to St. Louis if you're traveling in an RV. If you have to though and are looking to stay downtown this place isn't bad. Clean bathrooms, gated, reasonably safe (at least we didn't have a problem while parked in the park itself).

That said, I would NOT recommend parking your RV anywhere else in the city. The city is riddled with crime and car/RV break-ins. It's on an epidemic scale and burglars specifically target cars and RVs with out of state plates.

We parked on a city street outside Pappy's Smokehouse on Olive St. and within 30 minutes someone had broken the lock on our front passenger door and stolen $7000 worth of valuables inside our camper. We are in a class C - id say a class A would be safer with only one coach door with a deadbolt. Our class C has too van doors in the front and they got in very easily. Be very aware of the surrounding areas - don't leave your RV parked unattended on ANY public street. Just assume you will be robbed if you do. Not worth losing all of your belongings. The police weren't optimistic that we would get our stuff back - they said this kind of thing happens multiple times a day and they don't have the resources or time to deal with each case. Park your RV or camper in a secure, gates area and take cabs/ubers to wherever you want to go in the city.

Honestly though, my advice is to stay away from St. Louis/most of Missouri altogether because it's just not safe for anyone.

NOT A CAMPGROUND

This is NOT a campground; it is a city storage lot with RV hookups, on a marginal-at-best gravel highly-sloped city lot. VERY rude staff. Pulled in, saw it, got treated rudely by host, promptly left.

Would not recommend it

As previous reviewers indicate it is a paved parking lot. Location is close to downtown but neighborhood is really not nice. We checked in and then left after finding another location just outside of town which is really nice. I was not comfortable staying over night at this resort. Staff was very nice though. Not a pet friendly location - you need to take animals off property to walk.

Nice parking lot

Clean place with great showers, laundry and well maintained pool (but small). Had plenty of spots but is a large asphalt parking lot which gets pretty hot. The owner and host were very nice.

Location is everything for this place. If you want to be in Saint Louis this is a good stop. If you plan on spending time in the camp ground, this is not the place. Great launching spot for activities, but not a destination location.

We felt safe with our kids and would stay again for the proximity to City Museum and other places.

Great place to stay

This campgroung is on the west side of St. Louis. When we stayed there, ther were a lot of extended stay RVers there. It's the best place to stay if you have to go to the medical center. A lot of people stay to have transplants done. The sites were a little close if you have slides, and most of the sites were not very level. The managers were very helpful. Great laundry and showers.
