Additional Pet Information:

Pets are welcome at Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort, but there are a few rules that must be followed to insure a good time and safety for everyone. A $5 fee per night, no matter the size or weight, per pet is required at the time of check-in. PET RESTRICTIONS: NO Pit Bulls. Pet owners of larger dogs, ie. German Shepherds, Doberman's, Great Danes, and Rottweillers, etc., are required to sign a waiver in the resort office. Pets are allowed in the hookup areas, but are not permitted in the no hookup area. In consideration of others, please clean up after your pet(s). (This is our #1 guest complaint.) This will help all guests feel welcomed and happy. At no time should your pet be left unattended. Should the need arise, there is a nearby veterinarian and kennel. Pets must be leashed at all times.

Traveler Tips

Do your research before leaving to know exactly where the park is located. It can be tricky for first-time campers to find. Our Resort Office is located in the same building as the Emerald Isle Wine Market/Valero Gas Station. Directly after the Service Station, you should take a left onto Reed Drive and pull over along the White fence in the lane designated for 'Camper Registration'. You will get out and check-in to the Reservation Office (Beside the Pool in the same building as the Gas Station). Once checked-in you'll enter the Park Gate (off Reed Dr) and someone will escort you directly to your campsite.

Very pricey CG

We've stayed here twice. Very expensive. Sites are not that large. Bath houses were clean. There was a constant flow of people past both sides of our site. Cars, golf carts, pedestrians, Model T's, etc. Unsupervised kids driving golf carts. One almost hit my truck. Many activities near by for kids. On the beach, but the sites nearest the beach do not have any shade. Very hot. This place is too pricey and too crowded.

Not for kids

The management apparently has a "don't get involved" policy if someone at the campground yells racial slurs at your children. When this happened to a teenage guest that I brought with us this past weekend the owners response was that they "can't control what everyone here says." So, they'll probably appreciate this review since I'm steering away clientele that they don't care to attract anyway. Don't bring your family or friends here if they are anything but white. Oh wait, the owner did assure me that she has hispanic people on the staff. I'll sleep so much easier now that I know that she is willing to employ non-whites. She is just not willing to ensure that your kids are able to enjoy a non-hostile environment while staying at their campground.
