Unusual City owned

If you have ever traveled in the empty Plains and been thankful to find a small town that allows RV's to park in their City parks and maybe even offer electric for a small honor fee, Robidoux is that concept on steroids.
Robidoux RV Park (the word "New" is not part of the name) is owned and operated by the City of Gering. This is city property, patrolled by city police, fees collected by the City Clerk and yet a full service, 42 site RV Park.
A better address to put into a GPS would be: 585 Five Rocks Road, Gering.
All roads are blacktop and the pads are long and level cement. The utilities are well placed for each site and hookup was easy. Each site as a picnic table, there is full hookup with and without cable. The cement site includes the patio. What is odd, maybe, is that the sites and utilities are rather mixed. We are in a pull-in,back-out site, there are a lot of these around a center circle of lawn that is a nice view. There are also double long sites with the utilities on the same side, which would mean nose-to-tail unless you have extension cords and long hoses to pass under your rv.
The park is beautiful with lots of green lawns, flowers and landscaped shrubbery. It is maintained meticulously by city crews. Timed sprinklers even go off in the morning. The lawns and the space between sites is almost unheard of in RV Parks, other than RV Resorts and membership parks. This park is clean and neat and constantly cared for. There are two host families that will help you with anything you need. The park is on high ground, East is the Nebraska country side, behind you to the West is Scotts Bluffs. It is an amazing sunset.
Wi-Fi is a struggle particularly when the park is full. Cable tv is great, they give you a remote to operate your tv on their cable and it works. Other park utilities work very well. There are some permanents that are obvious by their trailer skirting and big LP tanks, but they are neat and tidy if a bit retro.
The bathrooms are clean and functional, not extravagant and antiseptic, but just what you need without concern. The bathroom design is more a camp style and sufficient. The laundry is small, but less expensive.
There is an overflow area with water and power but it is gravel and not nearly as nice as the formal sites.
Call for a reservation, you won't regret it.

Papa

Exceptional in every detail. Clean & green. Ultra clean restrooms and showers. Paved streets. Huge concrete patios. Lots of space between camp sites. Staff very cordial. Camp co host was great. Stayed 3 nights in travel trailer. Full hook ups. Great view of Scottsbluff Monument ( huge bluff & rock formation). Highly recommend nearby golf course, Monument Shadows.

Great Place!

We stayed here years ago when they first opened (about 10 years ago). We would definitely return! Very friendly. I remember there not being a pool and it was really warm the night we stayed. Would have loved a quick dip - this is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

The Best RV Park!!

We stayed at this park for about 2 1/2 months for work. We have small children and this was perfect for them. The campground is absolutely beautiful with acres of manicured lawn and mature trees. Blooming flowers at every campsite. Internet service was great! We would definitely stay here again. Very near the Oregon trail museum at the bluffs. Loved it!!!
