Nice place to stop in or stay a while

It is defiantly windy, but it is the only place between Albuquerque and Truth or Consequences to pull in with full hook ups. Perfectly placed stop. Beautiful views and level lots.
I have to be honest in saying the water is soooo hard. Defiantly clean everything after the New Mexico run.
Has some great places to use ATV's and 4X4s during your stay as well.

Almost there.....

First off, the people there are terrific ! Friendly, helpful, and willing to help. As they have large trees in most of the sites, I was concerned about satellite reception. So they showed me 2 spots and let me chose my spot. I really did not need to worry as the parking in all the sites are "aligned" with the direction the dish needs to be pointed. The roads and sites are all gravel, but level and wide! I could park my car alongside my RV. Hookups were in good condition and easy to use. The restrooms are clean and the laundry room well equipped. The office has a lounge area with sofas, tables, and pool tables. Actually like the last review said, it looks more like a western museum inside. Lots of knick knacks. There is a small water fountain with a fish pond under some trees with a seating area by the entrance to the park. Overall the place is like a small oasis. There appear to be some long term residents, but their spots look clean and well cared for. There is also a dog run in the back. And for those traveling with horses.... They have stables available for rent as well. By the way, Wifi worked great!! Side note, they only take cash or check, no CC. They are pretty well located for site-seeing to the Indian pueblos and wildlife refuge parks. Ok, now the negatives.
There are a few. One.... no store, no propane. This park is quite a ways from everything so I would like to see at least ice offered for sale. Two.... No tables at the sites. I had to cook with my BBQ sitting on the ground, while I sat on a log. Finally, not the parks fault, but easy access to the freeway means there is a lot of traffic noise day and night. Not considering the noise, but if they had ice, and picnic tables, or some sort of table to place a small BBQ on, I would have given them 5 ??s. All in all, considering everything, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we are in the area.

A Very Pleasant Surprise

When we pulled into the park we had no idea what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised by what we found. We liked the fact that all of the sites are very large with easy access. The staff is very friendly and the clubhouse looks like a western museum inside. We stayed for over a week so we could visit each of the three wildlife refuges and Pueblo National Monuments all within 50 miles from the RV Park. We enjoyed our stay at Kiva and plan to return again. If you are traveling along I-25 in New Mexico this is a park worth checking out.
