Enjoyable

Me and my family stayed here in May. The cabins were clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. Will definitely stay here again in the future, the kids enjoyed it as much as the adults.

Will not stay here again

We were here the week after Christmas with family. It was a miserable stay. The cabin was very dusty inside, had a horrible musty smell, several light bulbs were out, the light cover in the kitchen was filled with bugs, and there is much more things that I could list that was wrong. But besides the cabin being a mess the putt putt area was very unsafe (pieces of wood laying around that had rusty nails sticking out of them). This place is suppose to be under new management and is saying they are making upgrades. If this is true I didn't see any sign of it. I do not recommend this place at all.

Big Water ripoff

Yes, we also spent hard earned savings on what we thought would be the perfect place for us and our granddchildren. Nothing but a huge disappointment. Can never get a cabin when we want one, taken over by kids in golfcarts. Total nightmare.

RIPPED OFF

This man has stolen so much from so many.. How he stays out of jail is beyond me. GOOGLE his name and see his mug shot from florida. Also all the rip off reports. Contact the Richmond Hill Sherrif department or Chatham county. He will steal money from anyone. old to young to single mom with kids. It does not matter. RUN AWAY FROM HIM

Ripped Off

We have also been ripped off. Paid for a transferrable lifetime membership and now we have to pay to go into the camp ground. We are done with them. We will not pay another dime in yearly maintenance fees.

Terrible

I agree, with RIPPED and SCREWED. This place used to be a RESORT. We too paid Thousands and were one of the first "members". I've been to many KOAs that are nicer than this place and dont have to lose all the money. I hope the new owner loses everything, b/c thats what the members did.

Ripped

We got ripped off by becoming members of this resort. The new owner should reimburse all membership dues that were paid upfront ($1000's of dollars) plus annual maintenance dues to members of Big Water. They are allowing anyone to stay at Big Water and are charging the members the same rate. This is not what we signed up for and were misled by previous owners and high pressured salespeople. Terrible way to do business and treat people. New owner Mr. Hutson should re-consider way of doing business. Ripped off and mad.

Going DownHill Very FAST!

We have been members for over 6 years, over the years, they have not maintained or repaired many items on the grounds. IE - putt putt is horrible, damaged and has been. the boats were not maintained, eventually causing them to stop renting them. NOW we are being told that someone from Chatanooga TN bought the resort and now MEMBERS have to pay $12/night on top of the member and annual dues! AND they are renting to non-members by selling them a $10/day "member pass". Not what we signed the contract for----Very Unethical group of people. I will be visiting lawyers and the BBB. I don't see how they can get away with this!!!!
