Park

We stayed here for one night on our way south. They gave us a site right next to the pool. We had continual foot traffic through our site. We were told to keep our dogs on a leash, yet the owner's dogs ran loose causing our dogs to bark as they approached our door. From check-in this campground was nothing like other campgrounds we have experienced. We figured out after walking through the park that 90% of the people lived there (mostly in run down rvs). They also have a big business of selling the fema rvs, they were parked all over and they had a lot of work crews working on them. The grass was not mowed in many areas and the general appearance was what I consider to be unkempt. During the night, the power went out throughout the campground. It really wasn't an issue for us as we just turned on the generator. However, one gentleman we spoke with was canceling the rest of his stay. Unfortunately, we will not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome

RV Park Review

If you need an RV Space for a night or two in the Hwy 380 area, the park work for you. My wife calls it the "walmart" of RV Parks. There
is no special customer service the way it was when they first opened. Most spaces are full hook ups. No traffic noise. Arrive during the day because the park is laid out backwards and most spots are difficult to back into. No pull throughs. Internet is extra. The first park that charges extra for water! Laundry and showers was not clean. Most spaces are level or can be leveled pretty easy. The spaces are gravel, so when it rains the space turns into a mudd pit. $5 discount when paying cash.

Not what we expected

First... the nice things about the park. The location is perfect if you need to be in the N Plano/Frisco area or if you are going to the Pizza Hut Park or the Dr Pepper Park. They do not have gates that close at night. And the people that live there (90% of the rvs are living there) are the nicest people you will meet. The negatives ... Owners and/or managers onsite are just plain rude, both on the phone and in person. One of the ladies that lived in the park said she was having a bad day. I bet!
The charge extra for water and internet. The water is expensive (plan on spening an extra $15 per week atleast on water) and the internet is slow (and $50 per month for one computer). The laundry room/shower room! There are like 200 people living there and they have 3 showers and 4 washers! Figure that out! Dogs running loose and not picked up after.

Now a Trailer park

We have visted this place once a year for the last 3 years when doing the doctors appointments. The park has changed owners/manager and it shows. The new management is not friendly. We had reservations and arrived a few minutes after 4pm and they were already closed (I had told her I would be there between 330 430). I called...no answer...no return phone call. After hours checkin was not posted. We tried to find a space...the first two the 50 amp electric did not work. The 3rd had no sewer or water was turned off. We left the RV and went to stay the night with our son. We went to check in the next morning at 9 and they were closed (hours posted said 8 to 5). My husband talked with a guy in the park and he told him of a space he could move to and he did. Once we did track down the manager..he was so mad that we moved! She was yelling at my husband. I told my husband that we were leaving and were only paying $15 for parking the RV. The husband came out and said he was calling the sheriff. We just left!

Perfect DFW RV Park

Stayed here for 2 weeks after Christmas, love, love, love this place. Very Quiet, off the highway, and had everything I could ask for in a park such as laundry, nice showers, on-site manager, and even a dog park to walk my Bowser! Highly recommended!

Great Stay

It would be difficult to find enough nice adjectives to describe this park. The staff is fabulous. It's a beautiful park. It's clean. The Wi-Fi is the best we have had(but not free). The manager was extremely friendly and represented the park very well. The pool is beautiful. The laundry facilities are spotless. The recreation room was great for the kids.

Trailer Park

Just a trailer park, not an RV Park.
Mustang RV Park down the street is better.

Nice overnight stay

I was looking for a place to try out our new camper with my son. Shady Creek was quiet and convenient. The roads were clean. The spaces were rock but perfectly level and the had good hookups. We played video games in the clubhouse plus played a game of pool. We didn't swim at their pool but it was nice and seemed well taken care of.

I don't have any cons except that it was super hot outside and my popup strained to keep cool until the sun went down! :)

Great quiet place

Believe it or not we were on our way here for the Buffett concert in Frisco. It was a great place to stay. We were late getting here of course but they took our info over the phone
