Great camp

This is a very nice north east of Dallas campground. Fairly level pull through, 30 amp, preferred 50 but was told none available. Has a nice catch & release 5 acre lake, small camp store. Did not use bathhouse or laundry but they are available. Lots of full timers here! Good Sam, Military discounts offered.

Perfect Overnight Stop!

Dallas NE Campground
Caddo Mills, TX
4 stars (Oct 4, 2016)

Dallas NE Campground will be our overnight stop anytime we are passing thru this area of Texas. It was very convenient to the interstate, and the staff were very accommodating. We snagged the last site that was available for the night. I failed to mention that I had a military ID card when checking in. During our conversation, that fact emerged and the host graciously refunded me $2.20 because they offer military discounts. The price was very reasonable.

From the looks of the property I believe it once was a KOA. The property was scenic with a 5 acre pond with catch and release fishing; plus I was able to get in a nice run around the pond (looped it several times for 4 miles). The campground had a nice pool and a basketball court, nice cabins, the best tent camping sites I've seen, a small camp store with basic supplies, a playground for kids, a swing hanging from a tree and a recreation hall. The RV sites were very long, spacious, and gravel. The campground did have quite a few permanent residents; however, the campground has rules enforce that keep the property well maintained. It would have been nice if they had cable, but not really a big deal.

Great customer service is always a win. Dallas NE Campground certainly scored points for that quality! The staff were personable, genuinely cared for the customers and took pride in the property, even relaying ways they plan to improve it. Thanks, Dallas NE Campground for a pleasurable stay! Until next time...
