A must stop park

Not sure why there aren't more reviews for this little gem of the Texas State Park system.

http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/state-parks/pedernales-falls

The campground is loaded with water/electric sites spaced out enough for some privacy, though larger rigs will have to be picky as some are not exactly level, has a dump station, on site campground host, onsite ice and firewood sales (Nearest shops/gas are in Johnson City some 12 miles to the west.) and two pretty decent restroom buildings with showers. There are views of the Texas Hill country; some 35 miles of hiking, biking, and/or horseback riding; an excellent bird blind kept active with daily feedings; a river for fishing, dabbling, floating or just plain resting beside, and scheduled Ranger programs either on the trails or at the amphitheater.

Be sure and check out the short history that has been compiled for the area and can be found on the website then get out on the trails and look for signs of an old cemetery, rock house and stone fences.

Location, Location ...

This is a great place to stay. There are lots of places to go and see Austin, Fredricsburg, Lukenbach, New Braunfels, and even San Antonio is only short day trip away.
This is the beautiful hill country of Texas a great place to take a motorcycle ride.
