Would rather stay home
We tried to stay here, but left after 10 minutes. We had a reservation and when we arrived were assigned a spot, but we're told that they weren't sure if someone was in it. We couldn't even find the spot because there are no numbers!
The "lake" looks like a mud pit and the restroom building looks like it should be condemned. They couldn't figure out how to give a refund, but it appeared unsafe enough that I gave up the $35 as a lesson learned.
Friendly and family owned!
Needed a quick place to stop for the night. Was perfect for that...They were so accommodating last minute and made us welcome. They even offered to let us eat in restaurant if we got in by close... We did not go for dinner but we grabbed the awesome bread pudding for dessert... AMAZING!! The best ever.
There is a small pond and our son caught a bunch of fish there. Not super fancy, but worked for a quick stay.
Again, super friendly!!
Great RV Park
If you're ever passing through Madisonville, TX, this is the place to stay. We were here for a week and we will definitely be back. This park is family owned and has lots of shady sites. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The laundry and showers were very clean. There is a seafood restaurant on site and they will deliver to your RV. This was the best seafood that I have ever eaten and since we're from the coast, that is saying a lot. Don't pass up the bread pudding, it is to die for.
