Convenient and Quiet

We spent 7 days here in our Travel Trailer primarily for the easy beach access. This place has a wonderful wooden well-kept private boardwalk to the beach, it's about a 5 minute walk from most spaces in the park. It's a pretty quiet RV park, just be sure to get a space away from the main highway out front.

Spaces are pretty narrow but well maintained; we had no trouble getting into/out of our space. With almost no trees here our satellite television reception worked very well, but I couldn't get any network television channels with the roof-top antenna guess they are too far away in Corpus Christi. There is a charge to use the cable tv service. Also electricity is billed separately; we spent $16 on electricity over 7 days so just over $2 per day for 30 amp service. There is daily trash service right at your parking spot. Wifi is slow most of the time because there are so many other guests using it; the smartphone was pretty slow but the laptop computer much faster. There is a small RV store in the office area, mainly just the basic essentials. Really nice laundry service with lots of machines although we thought the cost was a bit higher than most. There is a huge rec hall with daily/weekly social events, and a really nice game room. Propane is also sold on-site. There are numerous RV maintenance companies in the local area that will perform service (or cleaning) right at your rig on-site.

This place has just about everything you could ask for in an rv beach resort, yes I would stay here again but there are also a few other choices in the area that seem excellent as well.

Great place to spend a few days, we would like to have longer.

Nice friendly RV park and the premium sites are nice and roomy. Concrete pads surrounded by grass.
My dog picked up stickers in his paws when he went onto the grass so we just took him walking for miles on the beach. Would we come back again? You bet.

Full time RVing

We love Pioneer RV, this is our second winter here. Boardwalk to the beach, level concrete sites. Wifi could use more help, but the park has updated, just lots of people on it, being fulltime we use it to pay bills, keep in touch with friends and family, so we also have a hotspot on our phone. Friendly staff !

Very Clean

The park is very clean and well manicured. Staff is very friendly and offered assistance on many occasions. Trash was picked up several times daily. This is one of the few places where the WIFI actually works, at least for me.. The sites are all paved and really long allowing plenty of space for my rig and truck. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is that the site widths are a bit narrow. I would definitely stay here again.

Not what it used to be

The restrooms are not cared for as they have been in the past. The areas around the restrooms smell like a septic system. The staff is quite unfriendly. In fact, they are downright rude. They act like they are doing you a favor just speaking to you. Camp sites are very close to one another, even in the "Premium Pull-Through" sites. I'm sorry to say that this park is not what it used to be.
