Horrible RV park

HORRIBLE RV PARK TO STAY IN!
Wi-fi cuts on and off and the owner won't even try to do anything.
Owner won’t discuss problems with you…hides behind front office staff.
Expect lots of noise (don't plan to sleep)
NO amenities - other than an expensive laundromat
Not convenient to the Dallas metro area (as advertised)
Park has heavy gravel for roads (noisy and not good for walking dogs)
Do not pay upfront till you have seen what you are getting (which is not much)
NO refunds - even to unsatisfied customers who leave early because of park issues
Do NOT recommend this park to anyone who has ever stayed in a real RV park!

Best RV Park in the area

This was the best park we found to stay in that was close to Allen and Plano. Nice long and wide gravel spaces to park RV and two vehicles. Good gravel roads, good WiFi, friendly Staff. Lafon's has three parks in the area, We stayed at the one about a half mile south of the office.

Stayed during visit to McKinney, TX IN 2014

We stayed here for two weeks. The rates were somewhat high at $65.00 per night. The park has mostly permanent homes, some taken care of, some not! The staff does make the rounds, checking on the guest and other residences. They do have a storm shelter, which is very much a plus for the area. It was a very confusing drive to locate the park, and the signs should be updated to help their guests. The Lake they mentioned was almost totally dried up, looking more like a swam with tree trunks protruding. The other parks in this area were not inviting to our stay either. However, you can not please everyone all of the time, for sure. Plus the drive to our son's home in McKinney was quite an adventure to say the least. Then to find the park in the dark, starting at 8:00pm, resulted in a confusing drive until 4:00am to locate the correct road to the park. Thank goodness for the country sheriff to give us some directions and road name. The staff was friendly, cordial and helpful with getting us to our site.

trash around campers, loose barking dogs

Most of the guests in the park live here. There are loose barking dogs (their leash rule is not enforced) and alot of the sites have refrigerators, freezers, boxes of trash etc. piled around their campers. The owner's of the park try to keep it clean aside from the trash around the campers. Several DFW people refer to the area as the "Meth" capital and a realtor told us to stay away from buying out here, so I don't know if it is very safe.
