Great park in a beautiful setting

It was fall break and we were looking for a nice place to spend a few days. We could not have chosen a better place. The park is laid out in a hilly area so that from our spot (#9) we could only see 6 or 7 other spots. The spaces are about 60 feet apart in a wooded area. Very quiet and peaceful. This park has been recently renovated and the pads are level with space for any motor home or 5th Wheel, plus an area for tents by each pad. Picnic tables are new and large with charcoal grills and fire pits. There are also hiking trails of 2, 3, 4 miles just south of the park. Absolutely beautiful place. Lots of local people there spending the weekend at the lake. They were completely full and we wanted a place by the water but they were already gone. Turns out that our place was actually better because one day it became quite windy by the lake and awnings and chairs flying everywhere, but our place in the trees was just a slight breeze that hardly rattled our awning.

Waterfront Jewel

This is a pristine park that is so perfect that it looks like it was built yesterday although it's been there for a long time. Everything is perfect, painted, grounds groomed, motel and office are beautiful. Great hot-tub big enough for 15 with very strong jets. That will relax those tense muscles from driving all day. Across the street is the Hood Canal with a boat dock where you can fish or just relax with a glass of wine. Has a pavilion with several gas fired BBQ's, and burners to cook your clams etc that you just caught and eat them in the picnic area with gazebo . We were quite impressed with everything. Probably the nicest park we have stayed all summer. I would recommend it to anyone in the area of the Olympic National Park or a weekend trip from that area. We stayed there in a motorhome.

Nice Park - Convenient Location

We stayed there for 2 nights. Park was clean and very quiet. There is a convenient store and gas station in the office and a nice laundry room that we used. Good sized sites with trees on some. Very close to Bryce Canyon. They also have a motel and restaurant about 1/4 mile away. Good homemade style food. We would definitely stay there again and it was a lot cheaper than the RV parks that were at the entrance to Bryce Canyon.
We stayed there in our motorhome.

Great Overnight stop

Great I-40 stop. Large park, wide sites, easy on-off access to I-40 on Old Route 66. Friendly folks and a nice clean park. Clean swimming pool and a good bar-b-que restaurant on site. They will even deliver food to your unit. Didn't use showers, laundry etc, but they looked clean. Quiet park even though it was on Route 66. Not much traffic at night. We would stay there again. We camped in our motorhome.

Nice Park - Convenient to North Rim

Nice clean park. Out back-in site was really narrow, but manageable. Other sites and the pull-thru sites seemed wider. Very friendly folks with lots of people running around in golf carts making sure everything was clean. It is nestled among pine trees and is a beautiful setting. Didn't use the laundry, showers or rest rooms but everything else was so clean that I'm sure that was too. This is one of the closest parks to the North Rim of Grand Canyon. We would definitely stay there again. We stayed for 2 nights in our motorhome.

Pleasant surprise

Old park, but nice. Very friendly and helpful hosts. We just needed an overnight place and this was just right. This place has a few perm residents in some really run-down units, but that was not really a problem. This place advertises that it is the only RV Park in Barstow that does not have highway or railroad noise. They didn't lie. This place was very quiet and peaceful. Several nice restaurants in the area. Good laundry and shower facilities and they keep the place nice and clean. Actually we stayed there for 1 night again on our return trip. They remembered us and gave us the same spot again. Nice long pull-thrus. The place filled up completely both nights. I would recommend it to anyone for a nice overnight or a couple of nights stop. We camped in our motorhome.

Nice Park - Convenient Location

Pretty typical KOA with the usual amenities. Shuttle bus stops at park to go to Yosemite NP. It is built on a hill and the roads and sites are pretty tight. It was all I could do to maneuver a 33' motor home into the back-in site. Other campers in pull-thru sites parked very close to the road and made things kind of congested. Wi-fi did not work at the site, but you could go close to the camp office and it worked there. Nice laundry and shower facilities. Very friendly hosts. Place was very clean and pretty quiet except for barking dogs that eventually quieted down in the late evening. Probably would stay there again but would definitely want a pull-thru.

Great Place - Beautiful setting

This park is nestled among the giant redwood trees along the Avenue of the Giants highway. It is a fairly new park with new paved roads and paved level sites. The hosts were the most friendly and accommodating people that we have ever met. The park is super clean and very quiet. Not crowded but not too many people know about it yet. We stayed for 2 nights and would definitely return. Where else can you be 30 yards from the giant trees. We camped there in a motorhome.

Really a nice place

We stays for 4 nights. Spent time touring the Grand Canyon and other surrounding sights. Park personnel were very helpful for information on things to do and the park is very clean and quiet. Great indoor swimming pool and they had large propane gas charcoal broilers that you could use as well as a picnic area. Quaint surroundings with their railroad cars and other railroad artifacts. I would definitely stay there again. We camped there in a motorhome.
