Great little overnight stop

This is a very basic, no frills park but for $16 it can't be beat. It's quiet, has FHU's, including cable and free wifi, strong AT&T (but not Verizon) cell signal. The bathrooms aren't great, but adequate. The sites are mostly pull-thrus. It's right next to the fairgrounds and 2 hrs before we arrived on a Sunday evening there wasn't a site available. Pretty close to the hwy but no noise. If in the area we would definitely stay again. We camped here in a 35' motorhome with plenty of room for our 2 slides.

Pahrump is a dump but Nevada's Treasure is a pleasure!

We were pleasantly surprised by this park about 7 miles outside of the town of Pahrump, NV. They have a great little grill room, bar & bowling alley. A fabulous gym- the kind I used to pay an arm & a leg for in the bay area. The pool area is beautiful & they even served drinks out there!

The sites are set up like a parking lot but many have little gazebo's & a few have built-in outdoor grills & kitchens. We had some ant problems but nothing we couldn't handle.

The staff here is top-notch with customer service a priority. The rate reflects a monthly rate with FHU. We camped here in a motorhome & would definitely come back.

Fun campground in Tahoe

We camped here for 2 months. It is the only campground in Tahoe with no maximum stay limits. It's a bit pricey, but it is Tahoe! They have some fun activities for families - Kareoke night, Movies, ice cream socials & pancake breakfasts on the weekend.

The sites are lined up like a parking lot, but you aren't right on top of each other. They provide a picnic table & FHU if you like, including cable. All different rates. The bathrooms are clean & heated on cold mornings. We didn't use the laundry room but saw a lot of "out of order" signs. They have a nice big heated pool & there are a ton of trails from the campground. It is located at the "Y" walking distance to restaurants, markets & more.

We camped here in a motorhome & will be back summer of 2011 for 3 months.

Peaceful and spacious military campground!

Rate is for active and retired military. We love this campground! They have a very unique setup - 6 pods with 7 spaces each like spokes on a wheel with a lot of space in between. Paved, very level parking for your rig with grass all around. Picnic tables are on a cement slab. Hook-ups were easy and well-placed, but the TV antenna doesn't pull in any stations and there is no cable.

It is very peaceful here, one wouldn't know they were on a base except for revile at 6:30 in the morning and the national anthem at 5pm and all those cute little young kids jogging by in formation. We have heard some target practice, but not enough to annoy us. Cows are grazing, rabbits are hoping & birds are chirping - the sound of freedom rings occasionally from the skies above. We only planned to stay 12 days and may change that to stay a month. You are pretty isolated out here but Sacramento is only an hour away and there are some other smaller cities close by. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Tons of Amenities

We were hesitant to stay here as we are 60 & 52 & not your usual "seniors" but our friends were workamping here & said it was fun so we tried it. Could only get 2 weeks originally but after a couple of days the office worked with me and we are now here for 2 months. 2 pools (1 a lap pool) & Jacuzzis, nice gym, pleasant atmosphere, everyone rides their bikes around. Hook-ups are good & sites are on gravel w/a cement patio & room to park a large car next to that so you are not right on top of your neighbor. Laundry & showers are around the park & kept clean by a regular staff. So much to do here - concerts, sewing, leather, lapidary, crafts, billiards and much more. We have a 35' motorhome & would stay here again. Rate is based on monthly rate of $625 not including elec & trash which are extra

Clean but a bit of road noise

The park is kept clean & the bathrooms are recently remodeled with a code to get in. Wifi is good. There is a lot of road noise if you are on the side of the park for the bigger rigs (behind the office). It kept me up most nights. The Avi casino across the street (an easy walk) is not too smoky, has many restaurants, a super pool & jacuzzi. They also have a big beach right on the CO river. The exercise is a teeny tiny room that didn't have a tv in it when we were there. No cable tv at the park. The people at the front desk are extremely unfriendly & our friends who have stayed there for years say it's always been that way. No activities, difficult to ride or walk into town, unless you're a gambler or have a boat to go on the river it's a pretty boring place. Oatman is a cute town close by. And you can get cheap gas & a bit of shopping in AZ just a few minutes away. Rate based on weekly stay in a lg spot.

Nice, clean, small park

We have stayed twice in this park - the 2nd time we had a lot more road noise & the train really bothered me all night long. But for the $$ in the area, this is a great park, they have pool tables & shuffle board, but they are in a room that is not used much. Have a nice small workout room & everyone is very friendly. Bathrooms are nice & spread out through the park. They let the propane run out so the pool & jacuzzi weren't heated some of the time we were there, but otherwise it was good. They have a few social activities planned every now and then. Rate based on 2 week stay.

Great Military RV Park!

Very clean park, new updated bathrooms, a little street noise in the early morning by the spots backing up to the gate that opens at 5:30am, but not too bad. Revelry (7am), Call to Quarters and Taps played during the week. Activities planned, great gym & indoor lap pool. Sites were level - on rocks, easy hookups, plenty of room not to make you feel too cramped. No cable tv, wifi is good. Max stay 21 days if people in overflow lot. They say there is never too long of a wait in overflow lot which also has electricity & is not far away.
