Rainbow's End RV Park

Daily rate listed is what it cost per day if you are using their Stay-And-Play option. This is an Escapees campground and is our favorite CG so far. This was just going to be our first stop during our Winter's stay in Texas. We ended up staying for more than three months. Almost everyone we met was very friendly, we made many friends while here. Verizon signsl was full bars, AT&T was 3 bars. Our Verizon aircard worked good although, at times it slowed down some. There are three different areas to park your rig in. We stayed in the wooded area and our site was fairly level, nothing the jacks couldn't handle. We were able to use our 3 LNB Directv HD satellite dish but not everyone in our area could. The other two areas had a clear line of sight. We didn't bring a toad this trip, but it was never a problem. People were constantly asking if we needed a ride to town or if we'd like to go to a restaurant with them. There is a large, fenced in, dog run. We loved this place and plan on returning every winter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

KOA-Terre Haute

The campground is near Terra Haute so our cell phones had full bars. Our Verizon aircard was very fast. It is expensive to stay here but they had a deal for three days, if one day is a Tuesday you only have to pay for two. Workers were polite and courteous. All sites are pull-throughs and you are guided to your spot. Most sites can't get satellite signal so be sure to ask when making reservations. Ours, site 29, did get a fairly good signal. We stayed here on April 18-20 and most travelers were only spending the night on their way North. Road noise was not bad, neither was the airport. We only heard 2 or 3 planes go over duting our 3 day stay. I would stay here again. We have a motorhome.

Grizzly's RV Park

We stayed here to sit out a storm and ended up staying three days. The owners' son, Ron, was very courteous and helpful. The sites have adequate space and hook-ups were in good condition. Gravel sites with well mowed lawns had a paved driveway for a car. Verizon and AT&T phones had a full-bar signal. Our Verizon Aircard was very fast. Our site had excellent exposure to the South for our satellite TV. Passport America rate, $12.50 per day, is good for 7 days. Would stay here again.
