Colden Lakes Campground - Pull thrus

This rating does not relate to how this park is for seasonal's. They do cater to seasonal's.

The pull thru sites are pretty new (<2 years). The are relatively level, however the sites are rutted pretty severely, which the owners have tried to fill in with straw. This has a marginal benefit. Be CAREFUL of ankle grabbers. The sites do not have any campfire setup. You are encouraged to scavenge rocks and make a fire ring. The park provides water, electric (20-50a) and sewer on each site. No cable, however the local Buffalo channels transmission towers are all in plain sight. No ESPN, YES, etc. Garbage and restrooms were not in an advantageous position for the pull thru sites.

The location is excellent. On a clear night you could see a doublebazillion stars. The staff was friendly, and a positive for the facility. Did not try the restaurant, but did hear good comments (second hand) from others in the area.

This is a good base camp for visiting the Erie county area. Not top of the list for a weekend camping trip.
