Lake Louisa State Park

Our inexpensive rate is because we are Florida residents with one person over 65. Very quiet park with few campers during our stay. 5/1/12-5/7/12. Each campsite has a picnic table & fire ring. Due to drought conditions fires are not permitted. Hammond Lake is located close to the campsites with two very nice fishing piers. The pads are crushed stone, roads are asphalt. Campsites are 3 miles from the entrance, a nice drive or bike ride on a winding, hilly road. Natural flora & fauna abound. Cabins for rent are available although we didn't investigate them. Restrooms are clean. Hot water is solar heated. Our site #11 is situated to afford privacy from people walking & riding through the campground. This site is a pull through & 90' Not as much shade as other state parks but enjoyable if one moves chairs out of the sun's path. Also using an awning is a good idea. There is a picnic area & beach . Water is warm & shallow. Lake Louisa's beach is near the front of the park. Publix & other chain stores & restaurants a few miles north of the park. This park would be 5 star if Wi-Fi & sewers were available. There is a cell tower close by with 4G service.
