Friendly Owners

Although to look at this park, it appears to be pretty much like alot of well maintained parks, but the owners and the people helping run and maintain this park is what makes it special. When we got here and plugged in our surge guard it said there was a problem. The owner, Tommy, and his maintenance person, Randy, spent several hours trying to help us figure out what the problem was by switching their wires around both at the pedestal and main breaker box. They let us move to another spot and also called in a repair guy at no cost to us. Long story short, it turned out to be our surge guard was bad. We enjoyed the rest of our 6 days there and they do make you feel like family. Can't say enough for their hospitality. The only down side is the wifi, but they do warn you it's not guaranteed. Enjoyed live entertainment on Saturday night. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed here in a 39ft motorhome.

Ah the View

Very nice park and what a view of the Mississippi. So nice to watch the barges on the river. Very relaxing, friendly people, sites are very long and wide for big rvs, and free WIFI. Plus, get this, free laundry. Never ran across this before, how refreshing. Although there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers, it was nice and clean and I had no problem getting in to do my clothes. Stayed here in a 39 ft motorhome and tow car.

Nice little park

The owners have spent a lot of time turning what was probably a high dollar travel motel on Rt 66 years ago into a rv park. The sites are level gravel with plenty of room for our 39ft motorhome with slides. The owners were very nice and helpful guiding you into your spot. Stayed 1 night, just passing through.

What a gem

Was very impressed with this campground. Full hookups, well maintained, tall trees and a creek. All for $12 a night with your senior pass. All the sites are paved and quite a few can accomodate a large motorhome. Leveling was the only challenge we had. Bring plenty of blocks. We stayed for 5 days in our 39 ft motorhome and hated to leave. Highly recommend this place for some relaxing and unwinding.

Nice park, recommended

Enjoyed our stay in this park. New owners are putting a lot of hard work to bring this park back from years of neglect from previous owners and it shows. You can tell they really care and are very welcoming. We stayed here on Passport in a 33 ft motorhome and tow car.

Quiet, relaxing

We have stayed in this park for 9 days and are leaving on Monday morning. This is a very well maintained park with gorgeous tall pines and oak trees with lots of shade. Sites are gravel, terraced and pretty level. Each site has firepit/BBQ. Laundry room has 4 washer/dryers which cost $1.00 a piece. The asphalt road is a bit rough and watch out for two speed bumps that are not too clearly marked, otherwise it's very nice. We looked at other parks in the area, but liked this one because it was away from town. Passport park rates were honored for all nights.

Great Park

We stayed at this park for 10 days. We arrived a day earlier than our reservations and they were full, but let us park in the overflow free of charge. This is by far one of the nicest parks we stayed in this summer. The staff are friendly and take pride in how this park looks. The rv sites are nice and level set among large tall pine trees. Love the deer that roam through the park. We enjoyed the Saturday night ice cream social. There are large trucks that are hauling gravel on the road next to the park, but the park has no control over that. The only thing we missed was the cell service but we could use their WiFi to communicate with family and friends or wait until we got out to the main road. We are Passport members and the honored the Passport price for our entire stay. Highly recommend this park.

Not Great

Although this place may be under new management, it needs alot of help. The water is brown coming out of the faucet, so was afraid to drink it. Better have bottled water. There is no water in the swimming pool, no trees, the picnic tables are all broken. My friends 30 amp service quit working so couldn't use his air conditioner. Sorry but would try not to ever stay there again.
