Glad We Didn't Stay Here

We had reservations at this park in August, 2012. My husband fell ill while in Yellowstone and had to be hospitalized in Bozeman, Montana and then eventually moved to the VA Hospital in Helena. I called to cancel our reservations at Canyon and had to leave a message on voicemail. When I didn't receive a call back I emailed my cancellation and asked for a return call. I still did not receive a call back so I called again and the propietor answered. I asked her if she got my message and she said "is this the one that's supposed to be in the hospital?". She then told me that in order for her to return our deposit I would need a health care professional email a letter to her stating that my husband was in the hospital. I did as she requested and one of his RN's emailed her what she requested. I still don't know if she credited me back or not since she hasn't bothered to call me and let me know. My husband is a VietNam Vet and has many problems related to Agent Orange and he doesn't deserve this kind of treatment. No one does. We never made it to the Glacier area and I'm not sorry that we didn't make it to this RV park.

Great Campground with Great Staff

We stayed here because my husband was hospitalized during our vacation. We left Yellowstone a day early in order to take him to the VA clinic in Bozeman. He was immediatley referred to the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. Our traveling companions had to find a place for both of our rigs while I delt with his hospital admission. We had seen this KOA on the way into town so they called there first. They told the propieter the problem and she immediately went to work finding spots for both our rigs. She went as far as to tell us she would let us pay day to day since we didn't know how long my husband would be in the hospital. After one day VA wanted to move him to their hospital in Helena 90 miles away. We had already paid that day's rent but I went to her thinking maybe she would split it with us since we had to leave. She did better than that and refunded the amount for both sites. Her generosity made me realize that there are still great folks in this world and especially the RV world. This park is clean, beautiful, and very well run and also convenient to Bozeman. Lovely folks.
