Our family has been coming to this part for many, many years and have enjoyed it immensely. This past year the city contracted out the management which appears to be working to make improvements and hoping they will be able to take the campground to the next level and update many of the common spaces e.g. bathrooms. You can't beat the location, the C&O Canal, direct access to the river, the quiet less the occasional train which IMHO just adds to the adventure and escape from the day-to-day.
