Great Park

Great park! Lots of pull through spaces available. Getting in and out was a breeze. Facilities clean and well maintained. Staff especially helpful and friendly.
Planning on a return trip in September, and I will definitely book here.

Right idea, but poorly laid out

Was supposed to stay one night in July. Left after 4 hours. So tightly packed together we couldn't open our Slide Out rendering the TT almost useless. So I attempted to sleep for a few hours in late PM. So noisy, I just got up and left. At 8:30 PM
Again, great concept of RV park+ Water Park but just too cramped together

Another Best Kept Secret Revealed !

Stayed here a week at the end of July. The entire family loved it. Just a few miles from the West entrance to GNP.
The staff could not of been friendlier or more helpful. For example, had a power issue when we first arrived. Asked if there was any type of RV repair facility nearby, and told no. However they knew an electrician who might be able to help. Keep in mind, this is Sunday morning. The electrician showed up 10 minutes later and fixed the problem. And he was extraordinarily inexpensive. Another example, we asked which trails would have the most waterfalls. The staff gave us a map and pointed out the locations of what the locals thought were the best. All were easy day hikes.
The park is set in the woods so you feel like you are camping in the woods as opposed to parks that clear the land and build spaces. They also have a play area for kids and a community fire pit going every night so you can enjoy a nightly campfire. In addition, they make their own Huckleberry pies from scratch, and it is amazing ! I bought a slice, and went back later to buy a whole pie!
Public showers and bathrooms were both well maintained.
Bottom line, I drove 23 hours (L.A.-West Glacier). and we are already planning next years return trip. And we are booking
at San-Su-Eds RV Park again!

Overall Impression. . . . Thumbs up !

We just got back from a three night stay at Emerald Desert RV Park, and we can offer the following details.

First, The park was immaculately maintained, it is truly beautiful ! Second, if you like golf, they have putting and chipping areas. Perfect for warming up prior to your round. Again very well maintained. Third, they have a dog park for your pet. Again, fenced in and well manicured lawns. Fourth, staff could not have been friendlier or any more helpful. We arrived after the office closed and a staff member reopened the office while her children waited patiently in the car for her to finish up ! Anything we asked was greeted with a warm friendly response. When I asked about a late check out time, they were willing to work with us !

However, other reviewers comments about the noise from the trains (what seemed like hourly) was not really a factor after the first night! I am a light sleeper and my wife is a heavy sleeper, and neither of us noticed much noise by the second night. We would have given a five star rating, but while the park cannot control train noise, it is a factor.

We will be returning MANY times in the future

We arrived after hours and we had someone waiting to show us to our site! The park is well maintained, immaculately clean, with a great staff! The entire staff was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Most importantly it was quiet! It sits by a rail line but we NEVER heard the train(s). However, we were at the entrance to the park and the back of the park is adjacent to the tracks.
We were looking for somewhere to go on or near the beach, close to the San Diego area. This park exceeded all of our expectations!
