Needs improvement

This RV Park has some really bad qualities, including:

- Lack of 50 AMP Spaces: The KOA website showed the spaces as 30/50 AMP, so I assumed we would have 50 AMP when we arrived. As it, turns out there are a small number (10%) of spaces that have 50 AMP and all occupied when we checked in so we had a 30 AMP Space.
Suggestion: Charge $3 more per day for the 50 AMP space. Save the extra income and start rolling out 50 AMP to spaces.
- Resort Fee: This RV park is part of Encore, we were already spending $50 a night and had prepaid via http://koa.com. Upon arrival, I had to pay an extra $3 per night for our stay for a 'Resort Fee'. In Las Vegas, a Resort Fee covers the TV and WiFi but here it covers ... I do not know what because we only had 18 TV Channels and the WiFi...
- WiFi: They used TengoInternet for Internet, which means we had to pay to use it. The cost for a week is $16.95, however it was unusable. Facebook would load in 2 minutes, uploading an image to the blog would take 30 minutes. Basically, unusable as is most TengoInternet at RV parks.
- Customer Service: When we arrived, there was a sign by their propane saying "No Propane Today." I asked why that was and received a lecture by their employee before finally coming to the point, only certified people can fill tanks and they only work Monday-Friday (we arrived Sunday). I did not need Propane that bad, but I also did not need a lecture on why your RV park does not have enough staff to fill propane. I asked what the Resort Fee cover and did not get a straight answer either which jaded me.

We spent six days here and the park itself was standard. Our space was spacious and the RV parked on a level concrete pad. A few times, we heard a jet fly overhead, but it was not loud enough to disturb us.

The location on Pine Island was relaxing, there was minimal traffic and we found ourselves slowing down during our visit.

This RV park had water, sewer, electric and cable hookups. There was a laundry room, which was clean but more expensive than most. There is a dedicated dog walk and a "playground" which was basically a set of swings.

Would I recommend this park? Maybe. Would we come back? Maybe, the annoyances listed above are a huge no-no for me. This could have been a 'good' experience instead of a 'meh' experience.

OK, but not great.

We wanted to visit Week Watchee Springs and there was a lack of RV Campgrounds in the area, so we ended up here. It was a good place to stay for four days, but not a place I would consider a destination.

The RV campground is 95% full time residents, we were the only RV to arrive or leave within the four days we stayed. Our space was cramped and the hookups were located very inconveniently, I had to drag our sewer hose under our RV to the opposite side.

This RV park had water, sewer, and electric. There was a laundry room, which was clean but two of the three washers were out of service. The WiFi was OK for casual usage.

The only reason I am giving the campground two stars is that the newly maintained RV campground roads were excellent and that the price reflects the quality of the campground, it was considerably cheaper than other campgrounds we have stayed at.

Would I recommend this park? Not really. Would we come back? Not likely.

Recent Stay

We spent a week in Orlando at this campground in January. We had visors come visit us and it seemed like the perfect place to chill out. We upgraded to a waterfront space, which had a dock that our daughters enjoyed playing on.

Our space was half concrete pad and gravel, it was very level. My only complaint was that our Class A had to back into our waterfront space, so our windshield faced away from the waterfront.

The RV campground was very quiet although it is very close to the International airport, we heard the occasional airplane but it was only during the day. The other campers were respectful of quiet hours.

This RV park had water, sewer, electric and cable hookups. There was a laundry room, which was clean but more expensive than most. The WiFi was good but not always reliable. There is a dedicated dog walk and a playground, which could use some modernizing.

Would I recommend this park? Absolutely. Would we come back? We would if we are in the Orlando area again.

Great Stay!

We stayed here for five days in January. We had specifically came out to visit other RV'ers who were staying and recommended it. We really enjoyed our time in Cedar Key and this RV campground had some good and some bad.

The RV campground is older and its layout was probably carved by organic growth, rather than pre-planned out. Driving our 36' RV around the RV campground was difficult and for the first time ever, I had to ask someone to move their car so I could park in the spot.

The flip side is everyone is very friendly, they have an onsite restaurant, and oh yeah... beautiful waterfront sunset views. The family would head to a dock and enjoy some time watching the sun go down every day. During the morning dog walk, I would stop to enjoy the beautiful nature that surrounds the RV campground.

This RV park had water, sewer, electric and cable hookups. There was a laundry room, which was clean and had some newer machines. The WiFi was good but not always reliable. I was disappointed to find there was no playground nor dedicated dog walk.

When we did leave, I found it hard to leave. The town and the RV campground were very laid back. I never once felt stressed out during my stay, since Cedar Key is at the end of the road there was no road traffic or noise.

Would I recommend this park? Absolutely. Would we come back? We are debating returning to Cedar Key in a month, but we will absolutely come back.

Great Stay

We stayed here for a week in January and were happy with our stay. This park does have VERY tight spaces, but the part is well maintained and the owners were very accommodating.

This RV park had water, sewer, electric and cable hookups. There was a small laundry room, which was clean. The WiFi was good but not always reliable. I was disappointed to find there was no playground.

The owners accommodated my need to use a large mitre saw outside of my RV for two days. Many RV parks do not allow people to work on their RV, but on the agreement I cleaned up after myself they let me.

Would I recommend this park? Yes. Would we come back? If we were coming to Tallahassee, we would definitely stay here.

Awesome Christmas Stay!

This is the best state park ran RV campgrounds we have stayed. It is located on a beautiful preserve, about a mile from the beach (with hourly shuttles), has a large play area, and a full laundry facilities.

This RV park had water, sewer, and electric hookups. They also had cable hookups at the campsite! There was a small laundry room, which was clean. The spaces had lots of room in between which provided amble privacy.

Would I recommend this park? Absolutely. Would we come back? Absolutely.

Great State Park!

Meaher State Park is one of the best state parks we have stayed at. It had full hookups with sewer too! It was clean, had lots of room, and was located in a quiet, great place.

Although I cannot recommend visiting Mobile, Alabama, I would recommend staying at Meaher State Park. It is a relaxing place to spend a few days and enjoy some southern nature.

Would I recommend this park? Absolutely. Would we come back? Yes, we will stay a few more days if we return to the area.

Review of the RV Campground

We recently spent three days at this RV Campground. It is a very packed RV park, catering to full-timers and the overnight crowd. Our space was very near others and the Motel 6 bordering the RV park contributed to noise.

This RV park had water, sewer, and electric hookups. There was a small laundry room and the bathrooms were a bit dated, but cleaned.

All-in-all the RV campground was pretty standard, it bordered a large highway, the spaces were narrow and gravel.

Would I recommend this park? If we were visiting Abilene or passing through. Would we come back? Sure.

Great RV Park

We ended up spending 16 days at La Hacienda RV Resort. Originally, we were going to stay for a week but we fell in love with Austin and the RV park was one of the best ones we have stayed at.

Check-in was simple and ever interaction we had with the office was pleasant. They were always quick to help and very friendly. We had a number of packages, letters arrive, and they went as far as to call me to know they had arrived. That is service.

This RV park had water, sewer, and electric hookups and cable TV. The only negative part of our stay was the unusable WiFi; but at this point of our journey, we never expect WiFi to work. The laundry facility was large, had newer machines and the wash price was a little more expensive than other campgrounds we have stayed at.

The space between the RVs was generous and the length of the spaces facilitated a more quiet stay.

Would I recommend this park? Absolutely. Would we come back? Absolutely.

A great visit

I would give this place 5 stars if it had sewer or at least a dump station. The lack of this facility is the biggest problem.

Do you want to stay at a campground next a lake? Check
Do you want to stay at a campground that is quiet and surrounded by nature? Check
Do you want to stay at a campground that has deer roaming around through it? Check

Do you feel like Steak dinner, a glass of Red Wine and beautiful views over a lake? Check

Beyond Hope Resort is not the nicest resort in the world, but it sure has everything one could really need. We arrived Sunday night and found the campground was only 50% full during. Our back-in spot was quite spacious, the hookups were close, and it was level. The spot had lush green grass that our two girls spent the next three days rolling around in, playing in, and enjoying.

The bathrooms and laundry room were clean and functional. They won't win any awards, but you won't go home with a new infection either. The beach is the place where you should plan on spending a lot of time at, we spent 3-5 hours per day throwing rocks, swimming, relaxing along the beach.
