Perfect Starting Spot

This is not the Sundance of the Film Festival, nor is it ski country, this Sundance is a small cowboy town, pop 1,100, that is the perfect location for visiting the big tourist sites in South Dakota and Wyoming. You visit then you get back to this sensible corner of the Black Hills.
This RV Park is immediately obvious for being neat, clean, and well managed. Office and staff was a very nice visit. The store has many items for sale from basic grocery items to rv necessities, souvenirs and neat "stuff" to look at. The park is cut into a hill side in terraces and very attractive. The entry roads were wide and site access easy. All sites are pull through, wide and long, and most are on the second level with a commanding view of the hills in the distance. The utility hookups are almost perfect. Power, water, and cable are convenient and easy. Sewer hookups are at the rear of the site nearly to road edge. Not convenient. Wi-Fi was a struggle at first, then fine once we picked one of their multiple hot-spots. Cable is 2.00 but worth it with many clear channels.
The grounds are well maintained and attractive there is grass, particularly in tent area, the rv sites are gravel.
This is an arid area with that ubiquitous red dirt; flowers and grass are a struggle but the owners have worked hard to bring both into their decorations and landscaping.
There is a nice looking pool with a fence enclosure and pool/patio furniture around.
Bathrooms are practically sparkling clean with surprising lighting: a big dome skylight in the ceiling. With daylight streaming in everything looks very bright and inviting. The showers were also very clean and hot.
The bathrooms are obviously monitored closely. There is a laundry that has access off the office so it is always in view. It looks new and is clean and comfy with furniture not folding chairs.
There aren't any specific walking trails, but as this is a nice neighborhood you can wander just about anywhere for your walking ritual.
This is a good park for seeing the sights then coming back "home" for a secure night.

Awesome Park

The cleanest park we have ever stayed at! Has everything; wifi, cable, game room with ping-pong/pool tables, TV. Outdoor swim pool, playground area. Store with gifts, RV supplies, food. Propane available. Plenty of space between sites. We had been traveling non-stop, found this place and stayed for 2 weeks! Only 1/2 mile off freeway, and no freeway noise! Did lots of day trips from here; Devils Tower, Sturgis, Spearfish Canyon, Deadwood. Google maps says it is 2 miles down government road, that is an error -- it is only 2/1o. Thanks to owners, Joanne and Bernie for a wonderful stay!

Nice place to stay

We stayed here using Passport America for 2 nights. The owners seem nice. The bathhouse is very clean. Free wifi which works good. I would stay here again. It is right of 1-90, and about 30 miles from Devils Tower.

Mountain View RV Park-Sundance Wyoming

We were looking for a central place to see Devils Tower as well as many things in the Sturgis area. This location worked well. This is a moderate priced park with many amenities. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The park is clean and well kept. They have a well stocked store, laundromat and pool. The views are great, especially from the upper level. I would definitely stay here again.
