Pleasure at the Port

We have stayed at this park several times and have enjoyed it immensley. It is a port owned park and is well taken care of.
You can sit on the canal and watch the cruise ships come in and out of port an wish you were on one of them. They are so close to you that feel like you could reach out and touch them. It's always fun to sit and wave and holler "Bon Voyage"
The fishing pier is great. No fishing license required. My husband caught a guitar fish and he and my brother have caught Mango Snapper and other salt water fish but never a Grouper or Flounder although some people have. It's a great place to watch the Dolphins follow the ships out, find Sea Turtles in the jetty, watch Manatees and Sting rays as they swim around. You can also watch a nuclear powered submarine come in and out as it's base is right across from the fishing pier. We have also seen Army boats come in and out. Last
May there was a Navy Hospital ship in port. There is no lack of things to watch. We saw 2 rocket launches from Cape Canaveral while we were ther. great to have a front row seat to that.
The beach is private, clean, and never crowded. It is only a short walk from campground.
There is a camp store with limited supplies as most ccamp stores are. There is also a gift store down by the beach and an observation deck.
The park offers full hook ups with 30 & 50 amp but you have to tell them what amp you need. They also have little cottages they rent, one room, bath and small refrigerator, no stove.
There are plenty of great seafod resturants in Cocoa that are very good. The Sunset Grill about 5 miles away on the Banana River and one just down the road from park. In Titusville ther is a fabulous resturant called Dixie Crossroads. A little bit of a drive but worth it.
This is a great park with Lots to do for everyone. I highly recommend it. They take reservations 1 year out but no long term stays.
