More of an event center

Extremely well appointed location for a parking lot. If you are an Airstreamer this is the place. Lots of fans, every home owner in camp has one. But there is no trees or view in the sites and no space between you and your neighbor. Glad I was here in the off season. Almost alone in this giant parking lot.

No place to dump

Knew we were stopping so I let the tank get full. No problem. We?ll dump in the AM. When the shower backed up I knew it was time. Unfortunately this campground didn?t have any place to dump. Mgr. said California stopped letting rvs dump into a leach field but it?s the first I have heard.

And the internet was capped at 200 MB. No bandwidth for video. Barely any for pics. I got thru my email and was out. Not great reception on AT&T or T-Mobile. Makes campground internet mandatory. Limped by with my Sprint device. I could have just stayed in a rest stop for the amenities.

And the playground was directly behind our site. A diesel semi running all night next to us might have been less annoying then all those kids.

I assume the river was on the end of the park but it couldn?t be seen from the site. There is a trail down to it but it?s gravel and rough like the rest of the park.

It was very quiet for a site just off the highway. Oddly Waze took us to Boy Scout road instead of correctly turning on Meyers rd. Less a road than a rutted path, be careful with your directions.

There seems to be a fire up here somewhere as the air was smokey. But that may be unrelated to the park this one of year.
