Pleasant River Campground

We have stayed at this campground twice and would definitely go back.

The owners are very pleasant and extremely helpful. They do whatever it takes to make your stay enjoyable.

Approximately 2/3 to 3/4's of the sites are shaded. The sites are reasonably sized and provide good spacing from your neighbors. The wifi works but, as in most camping areas, may be a little weak. They have a good sized playground for the kids.

They rent canoes and kayaks. It was a little cool while we were there so we didn't try them. They appear to launch them on Pleasant River which feeds into the Androscoggin River. Having canoed other portions of the Androscoggin, you can spend many pleasant days touring this scenic area.

They are only a short drive away from the scenic parks in New Hampshire.

There is much to see and do in Bethel, ME as well.
