“Beach campground” for Fort Pickens Campground (Gulf Islands National Seashore)
2 out of 2 people found this review helpfulI have camped here since the mid 60's when I was a kid. I love this park for a lot of reasons, the beach, the pre civil war fort, the coastal defence batteries, the white sand and most of all my history with the place.
But, it all changed since the huricane season of 2004. The trees are mostly gone as are the dunes. Campground A is more intact and more like "old Florida" than B. A still has trees and some dunes and is a smaller cg. Both cg's have fresh blacktop but shallow drives. The bathhouses are small and outdated and there is no sewer on any sites.
CG A has closer access to the beach than B though both are a walk from the CG.s.Date of Stay: March, 2011Rate Paid: $20.00“Great Stop Over Park” for Northgate RV Travel Park
2 out of 2 people found this review helpfulClose to I-65, inexpensive, friendly owner, all sites full hook up and pull through. Only reason I gave this park 4 out of 5 stars is because the do NOT have a bathhouse. We use this park every time we return from the Florida panhandle to our home near Nashville TN. Do not accept credit cards. Buy their fresh eggs, 25 cents each. Great stop over!

1 out of 1 people found this review helpfulWe use this park every year on our way to Florida from Tennessee. A lot of pull throughs and most of the park has full hook ups. Clean restroom. Inexpensive and friendly staff. Good Sam accepted. Dont recall but I don't think they accept credit cards, but could be wrong about that.
