Good stop over

Spent one night in 40 ft RV. Owners are very efficient & nice. Park is older but had everything we needed for a good night!! Site was level. Cable was ok. They serve dinner & breakfast if you just don't want to cook. Didn't use baths etc. travel this road so will stay again!!

Watch the Train!!

Very clean park. Staff was very nice & efficient! Location was great to get to historic district we were in a 40 ft RV. A bit odd that you face the door of your neighbor when you hook up. We didn't mind since we were with friends. The ei fi was very slow. The cable wasn't working & we could only pick up a couple of channels!! Otherwise I would rate higher. The old steam train runs right by the park. Love the whistle!!!

Nice park

Enjoyed our stay here very much. The hosts were very nice & helpful. We were in a 40 ft RV & nervous from the reviews about whether we would fit. The staff was very helpful in getting us into our space. It was a bit tight getting in-- the roads are narrow & trees & posts to watch out for. Once in we were very comfortable. The gravel sites were pretty level. We had plenty of room for our 4 slides. The wi fi & cable were very good. Will come again!!

Needs Improvement

Not exactly a resort! Pretty much a large open space with hook-ups! If you just need a place to stay traveling through this area it will work. It is quiet. It does have cable. It looks like a park where people are staying while working in the area. Staff was very nice & friendly. Certainly not a place to come for rest & vacation.

Great campground

Super organized and friendly owners. Great location if you are planning to explore downtown attractions. Very busy while we were there but still very quiet & pleasant. Our space was a nice size. We didn't feel jammed in. Clean & comfortable. Would recommend it highly. We were in a 40 ft rv.

Superb!

We are visiting in the Champaign area & are so glad we found this lovely retreat! We have loved staying in this quiet, clean & very well run campground. The setting is beautiful. We are in a row of trees, the sites are level, they are nicely spaced & we love seeing the lake in front of us. There is a laundry, small playground, fishing, kayaking or just simply relaxing! Hope to come here again. I am sure we will. We are in a 40 ft motor home. The owner was great to put us in a space that was large & easy to get in & out. Hate to leave!

Great location

We stayed here for 3 nights while touring the sites. Very good location to go to them. The staff was friendly & helpful. The sites are nicely spaced. We are in a 40 ft class a & did not feel crowded. They were very busy. Lots of tents& lots of camp fires. If smoke bothers you you might consider this. You are parked in glass so if there has been rain it may be a little soft. Blocks help!
Enjoyed our stay

Wrong name!!!

This park is now the Rapid City RV Park & Campground. We stayed 2 nights in our 40 ft class A. This is an old park that is showing its age. There are new owners that are working on improvements. They were very nice & helpful in getting us into a space that was comfortable. The spaces are pretty close but they are terraced on levels so you don't feel quite as tight. The spaces need some work but that will take time. If you are looking for luxury this isn't your place. If you want a nice quiet place to park convenient to the area attractions you will be fine. It has some very nice views. I think in the next year this will be a much improved park. Good luck to the new owners!!!

Good & bad

We stayed here for 3 nights while exploring beautiful Zion Natl Park !! The good part of this campground is the convenience to to the entrance to the park!! The sites are pretty normal. It was busy, but the trash was piled up so full you could barely dispose of it. Not enough thought considering you might expect to be really busy!!!! We paid for full hookups. We could not get internet. We could not get cable. Though we have used our tv for many other trips, we were told cable could only be accessed if our TV was 4 years or newer!! Something about it being digital cable?? We are now in another park & watching very clear TV front desk was ok. Not super friendly or helpful. Guess service isn't high when you have a great location!! Just don't expect too much, pay premium price & enjoy Zion!!!
