UGH! What a Loser!

The beauty of Crater Lake NP gets quickly overshadowed by the blatant ripoff by the Xanterra concessionaire. You pay normal space prices for a dirt patch, no power, water or sewer, and for absolutely FILTHY, ill equipped restrooms. Showers? HAH! You can't get a clean one or hot water for more than a minute or two UNLESS YOU PAY Xanterra
for a short burst of hot water an extra, pricy amount ( hot not guaranteed). WIFI you ask? Xanterra will bill your credit card or you can just live without it - oh and cell service doesn't exist either here. This sucks worse than gravity! Worst RV camp ever!

Beautiful Location, Nice Stay!

Located right on the lake, the park is clean, convenient and a pleasant place to stay. Close to lots of food and services in Grove. Worth the time and money!

Declining Attention to RV Spaces in Favor of Mobile Home Spaces for Sale

Plan to speak to the voicemail machine first, but a live person often calls back later. Spaces are mostly pull throughs and turning straight in can be a challenge. Power, water and sewer are available, but at the far back end of the space. The biggest drawback is noise. The trains run all night and the freeway is even closer.

Better For A Long Stay

The owner is VERY helpful and friendly. He works hard to make your stay as good as possible. The park is smaller, but pretty well maintained. The only issue is the large number of local workers who camp there semi-permanently. Many of them smoke outside their rigs, which means you may have to close your windows if you don't smoke yourself.

Clean and pleasant

Nice clean park. The BBQ restaurant there is excellent. Easy in and out. Restrooms and showers were clean. Pool was seldom used but looked good.

Not a Good value at all!

No trees but clean, level pads. There is no one there to help between 6 pm and 9 am so don't have a problem. The Storm Shelter is LOCKED so don't have a storm either. The restrooms and showers, and laundry room are clean - check toilets for paper before settling in. Be careful if you have a dog because there are NASTY stickers in the green lawns. All grass is watered nightly, so don't leave belongings out or you'll need time for them to dry. Lots of fast food places near by as is the highway, but noise is not a problem. We paid a lot more than usual here, so it isn't likely that we would ever return.
