Visited this park on 11/12/2010. It is a nice RV park with many paved and well sized lots. It is just a few miles from Foley, AL. Appears to be in good condition but as of now underutilized. Many empty spaces which may be filled later by still to come snowbirds.

Our stay there was pleasant. Staff was helpful and friendly. This campground is 40+ years old and with relatively new management which is making some upgrades. Roads are narrow for new bigger rigs. Many sites are for long term campers that leave their units there permanently. The sites on "the hill" are for shorter term campers. Sites are long pull-thru sites. All sites and roads are gravel. Getting big rigs in and out requires VERY careful attention to the narrow road and to the trees which are right nest to the road and need to be removed or at least trimmed. Many activities for kids. This was an OK place but I probably will not return
Date of Stay: October, 2010Rate Paid: $38.00“Very Short Stay” for Perdido Cove RV Resort & Marina
0 out of 1 people found this review helpfulWe booked a site on Perdido Key shore in advance and when we did we fully discussed that we had dogs and used an ex-pen. When we arrived we again confirmed our traveling with dogs (Dachshunds). "No problem", they said. We got parked and all set up when the neighbor came back to his site. Without talking to us he went to the office and complained. Apparently his dog inside his camper wanted to bark at mine outside with me sitting there. TWe were offered another site away from the shore and docks. We declined. The only sites of interest were those on the shore. Others are basically lots on a parking lot and not my opinion of an enjoyable camping exerience. This an EXPENSIVE place where most of the sites are without any shade and on pavement divided by small grass areas. Rates are even higher now. It is new and all facilities are current and well maintained. Having Marina sites is interesting and the shoreside sites give a great view of the intercoastal waterway.

2 out of 2 people found this review helpfulStayed her in Sept. 2010 on our way south to Gulf Shores. This campgrounds easily accomodates big rigs. It is an easy access from the highway but also far enough away to not get highway noise. Sites are gravel. It does get a lot of overnight traffic and starts to fill up around 3:30 p.m. Management is friendly and helpful. Has large field and dog walk area. Laundry and showers are clean and well maintained.

1 out of 2 people found this review helpfulWe visited our friends who stayed here on their way back to MI from their winter stay in TX. This is a new campground so facilities are new and well maintained. Some sites are on grass and others are on cement pads. More cement pads were being installed when we visited there. Our friends were very happy with this campground, the managers and and fellow campers.
Date of Stay: April, 2010Rate Paid: $30.00“STAYED HERE WHEN VISITING RV MANUFACTURERS” for Elkhart Campground
0 out of 1 people found this review helpfulStayed here as a base from which we could visit RV Manufacturers. We were planning on buying a new 5th wheel so we wanted to see how they were made. Factory tours are a good learning tool. This campground has been around for some time and may have had some years with little investment. Current managers are trying to make improvements. Sites are on grass/gravel and many have shade. All utilities worked fine.

0 out of 1 people found this review helpfulWe have stayed in this place several times over the years. The last time we were heading south. The staff are always friendly and helpful. All the sites we have been assigned have had easy access and exit. There are seasonal sites and many where travelers come in for a quick stop.

0 out of 1 people found this review helpfulThis campground was under construction when I looked at in 2007. The reason I looked at it was that it was just minutes away from the Fairhope Hospital where my wife was undergoing surgery. Since then construction has been completed and this is a very well maintained and clean site. All roads are paved and sites are cement with pation. Some sites have shade but most are in the open. Nice people and a good location close to Mobile bay, hospitals and shopping.
Date of Stay: December, 2007Rate Paid: $25.00“Near Memphis” for KOA-Meridian East/Toomsuba
0 out of 1 people found this review helpfulThis is a convenient site if wishing to explore Memphis, TN which is just a few miles away. This is an older KOA and the sites are a bit close and small. Length is OK but pretty tight for Big Rigs. Have stayed here a couple of times because it is at a good spot on the road either north or south.
