We only stayed for the night on our way home from Florida so we didn?t use the family fun amenities but they looked nice. Grounds were clean, bathrooms were exceptional with private rooms and looked new. They put our 35ft motor home on a level cement slab that looked brand new. Definitely looks like they have made many improvements recently. I was worried we would have to pay big bucks because of KOA amenities (that we were not going to use) but the price was only $42!
We stayed for the week of our spring break. It?s a very nice campground with very clean bathrooms. The wall to the beach is a path and then a lovely boardwalk. Nice easy walk to the pristine beach. While all the other beaches were packed with people the beach for the campers was so nice and not a lot of people at all even over spring break. This would be a 5 star review if not for the helicopter noise which is none stop from 10-6 daily. It?s soooo loud so if you have auditory issues I would pass. Bevy of the helicopter noise the road traffic which is also pretty loud seemed non existent. Keep in mind it?s a state park so no other amenities and while it did have water and electric there was no sewer but of course a dump station. Great stay, close to everything.
Clean and very well maintained- very easy for an over night
We pulled in after hours for an overnight on our way back to Chicago. Easy late night check process, nice pull thru sites, very clean and manicured camp ground right off the highway. We did not use the bathroom or see the inside of the office but all looked very nice and clean and well lit. They had a pool that looked nice but it was winter so it was closed. Fenced in pet area. Good wifi. Residents on the premises which made us feel safe. Over all very very nice camp ground. gas stations and restaurants close so perfect for a quick overnight and amenities and cleanliness would make for a nice extended stay
